Dr. Eric Anctil, MD

I went to Dr. Anctil for a second opinion for my foot fractures which had not healed properly under the care of a different doctor. Dr. Anctil was able to operate. My foot is now healed and I no longer am in pain.

Dr. Anctil treated me for an ankle fracture. Aside from being an excellent surgeon, I found him to be kind, compassionate, and a true professional. Je serai toujours reconnaissante Dr. Anctil!!!!

He did not review my X-rays with me. The only treatment he offered was to be injected with cortisone. He only seemed like he'd be interested if my problems involved major surgery.

He came in rushed with an intern looking flushed. He pulled an xray of another guy and talked to me about it for 5 minutes before realizing his mistake. Then he brushed me off. Oh! He also asked me how many surgeons I have been to before him. This was the first time I approached a doctor about my ankle. I felt disrepected and over looked. I no longer trust Tucson orthopedic institute because of him. I will be looking for doctors who care from now on.

I dislocated my ankle and broke it in three places, requiring surgery to install two plates and several screws. The surgery went off without a hitch, and three months later, the fractures are healed and I can walk quite well. I attribute my recovery to Dr. Anctil's expertise and skill. I was pleased with the professionalism of the entire staff the institute where he works. I recommend him and think patients can feel confident and safe in his care.

I had surgery a few years ago on both foot. He took the time to listen and fixed the issues. The other nurses there looked at me like I was making things up, like my foot issue 'wasnt a big deal' but it was. Unlike those who judged, Dr Anctil took the time to listen and resolved the issue. Thanks to him, I can now fit in my shoes like I use to and not have to worry about it hurting anymore! I can walk for hours without having to put a band aid or cushion to pad my shoes. Thank you.

Excellent surgeon. He performed an ankle replacement and now the pain is gone. Today I have a better quality of life thanks to Dr. Anctil. Highly recommend this surgeon.

Dr. Anctil performed a Scarf&Akin bunionectomy and my outcome was excellent. From my first visit where everything was explained to me to my final visit, the experience was professional and I am very pleased with my foot now. My pain is gone and my foot looks normal now. Surgery was flawless and I felt safe under the doctors professional care.

6 month’s of ankle pain, and Dr. Anctil provided relief. I am on my way to recovery with a brace and Topical ointment.

Dr. Anctil surgically repaired a serious ankle fracture at the end of 2021. My recovery was uneventful and whoever saw my fresh scars was amazed at how clean and precise they were. Recently (June 2022) I began to experience pain in my ankle that I hadn’t had before and was concerned the hardware was bothering me. Alas, I had developed arthritis after surgery. An ankle brace was prescribed and I was on my way. I was pleasantly surprised that I got an appointment within two days of requesting one.

Dr. Anctil and his team recently corrected years of suffering I've been dealing with in my right foot. He was thorough with his advice and options; and patient with my many questions. Briana Childers is exceptional as well. She takes the time to relate to you and the pain your enduring. Very compassionate. If you have issue with your ankles pr feet, Dr. Anctil and his team will definitely work through every possibility!

Dr Anctil was highly recommended by my Primary Care Physician. And I will also highly recommend him. He listens, asks questions , and gives informative answers. He is personable and alleviated my concerns. Even my husband, who is highly skeptical of doctors (especially surgeons), was impressed. Yay, no surgery yet for me. (I will say that the TOI check in process was stressful, but well organized. I was 6th in line, and after I was checked in there were at least 25 people waiting to check in. I did make my 8:40 appointment though.)

Dr. Anctil took the time needed to listen to me and make his diagnosis. I will say, he definitely cares about his patients! I would highly recommend Dr. Anctil.

1 year ago Dr Anctil replaced my painful arthritic ankle and for the first time in many years I am pain free and back to hiking. The caring attitude of Dr Anctil and his team is awesome!
