Anger Issues
Dr. Burg is thorough and provided referrals, but is also extremely condescending. I was consistently scolded for BRIEFLY expanding upon a “yes or no” question about a symptom, such as shortness of breath. It was typical for him to say something along the lines of “it’s a simple yes or no question: are you having this symptom?” after I provided a 1-2 sentence explanation of how I’m experiencing the symptom. At times he would raise his voice in annoyance with me. Navigating conversation with him felt impossible as I had to walk on eggshells and I was never able to grasp an understanding of what I was doing wrong. I saw him approximately ten times and I had the same issues every visit. I eventually left the practice because it was too distressing for me and I don’t want to be physically examined by someone who makes me feel unsafe.

Very thorough with the exam.
My regular doctor wasn't available, and I needed to be seen for a terrible cough. Dr. Berg was very thorough with his questions and his responses to my questions. He got to the point and kept me in the decision-making process for my treatment options. He has a dry sense of humor and made some quips, but I am okay with that in a provider.

Well the only reason I give him even a 2 is because he was thorough and asked a lot of questions that I guess he probably has a chart with all these questions anyways but....he interrupts and makes you feel stupid like you should also have a degree in the medical field like he does. He asked, "Do you have anxiety?" I said yes, when it comes to issues concerning my health my anxiety is terrible. He interrupts and says, "Do.... you... take... prescription..meds...for..anxiety? I feel he should rephrase some questions so the patient better understand them. Shortly after, I said I had a blood test done in urgent care a while back for this same issue and he said, "We are not the FBI or CIA, we dont just magically get those files." I was nervous to ask any questions or say anything that could have maybe solved some of the issues. His bedside manners could use a little work to not only help the patient but to better help him understand the patients issues.

Dr. Berg is....to put it nicely impatient. His bedside manner with patients is very rude and he treats you like you're incompetent. I'm probably going to end up finding another primary care physician. To anyone that's reading this I would highly recommend avoiding him. If HE ends up reading this fix your attitude before you catch one with the wrong patient.
