Nice Doctor, questionable practices
Consulted for a non-urgent preventative surgery. He seemed to exaggerate the wonderful outcome of gallbladder removal. Decided to ‘possibly’ schedule within a year as I did not have obvious symptoms or pain. Without notice, he prescribed 5 painkillers (by Kaiser portal). When questioned (as it was likely an error), nurse said ask the pharmacy. On a inquiry claim Kaiser lied and said he had discussed that with me. Not true, I had a friend at consultation and she attested to same.Careful with this one. Do your homework before you commit.

Lap Chole complications - office won’t respond
Emergency lap chole followed by systemic drug reactions, contact dermatitis and infections of wounds. Can’t reach his office. Primary care trying to handle it with no avail. Unhappy and still a mess 4 wks post op.

Needed a hernia repair. consulted with him. He wanted to do an open surgery hernia repair. A week before surgery he cancelled, said my enlarged prostate would be a problem. I found another doctor who specializes in laparoscopic hernia repair and was board certified. He performed the repair skillfully leaving me with virtually no pain. I don't think Dr Fu would have left me with no pain.

Screwed up my cyst surgery . Caused me added pain. I ended up with a 3rd surgery thanks to his practices. Kaiser did nothing about it.
