Doctor who?
I came do Dr Hentzen for a consult for my hand. I was seen by his NP and never even met him. I have nothing against seeing an NP or PA, but never on a first visit, especially when it may come to surgery. The fact that he didn’t take the time to see me as a possible patient, is extremely unprofessional. She told me if I did in fact have hand surgery, I would be left disfigured. While she was nice, she wasn’t the person I should have been seeing in a first visit. The office is extremely unprofessional. When calling for record transfer, they were of zero help to the patient. Needless to say, don’t expect any attention from the actual doctor. Horribly done, doc, horribly done.

I have had nine surgeries to date in 2019 with Dr. Hentzen, MD at UCSD Hillcrest. Dr. Hentzen is an expert in his specialty, is kind, patient, and has an excellent support staff. The staff in surgery at Hillcrest and his office in Encintas are top-notch. I would highly recommend Dr.Hentzen at UCSD.
