Arrogant
Arrogant. In a rush to end the visit. He is the worst physician that I have ever met as far as personality goes. Horrible bed side manner.

Review of Dr. Hirsch
Dr. Hirsch is always on time for our appointment and has excellent recommendations for me to follow after my hip replacement. If I have any more surgery, I would want to have him do the surgery if possible. He listens carefully to any questions I have and is always has good advice during our sessions.

Bed side manner is important
When you are faced with medical care of an elderly parent... A doctors bedside manner really goes a long way! Not only did he NOT do the right thing a couple of times... His explanation of things, even after realizing perhaps he did not make the right call, was arrogant and standoff-ish. I literally told Citrust Memorial that I wanted him OFF my father's case.

Great Doctor!
I broke and dislocated my left radial bone trying to get my husband off the floor. Made an appointment knowing surgery would be necessary and within days, I had surgery and was on the mend. My arm is doing great, I have a way to go yet but very happy with this doctor! He is a cut to the core; this is what needs to be done person and I like that! Thank you, Dr. Hirsch!

No one would respond to concerns at all
2 year patient with (2) previous surgeries. When 3rd surgery was to be scheduled, they just dropped the ball and forgot about us completely. Office manager never even attempted to call us when we were told they would. It’s been over (1) month since appointment and we were simply shut out completely. My wife is now suffering in severe, horrible pain!

He listens
It is a busy office with a lot of staff each providing a specific job. Each person was courteous and explained what to expect and their goal. Very organized. Dr Hirsch presents the facts and opinions, we BOTH created the best action plan to meet my needs and fit my schedule.

Knee swelling and pain
Dr. Hirsch performed arthroscopic knee surgery for me a couple of years ago. Until a month or so ago I had no knee issues. My recent visit was for the same knee, which for no apparent reason, had swelled. Together we reviewed some of my activities which may have led to the flare-up, and the xray determined nothing unusual. He offered suggetions for icing at home and OTC meds, and if it continued to be problematic to see him again. I really appreciated his thoroughness and kindness and would recommend him to anyone.

The first time I had to go to an ortho doctor
I am a 63 year old woman and this was the 1st time I had to go to an ortho. I was hiking with my dog and tripped over a root and face planted. The next day I started having pain in my right shoulder. I let it go on for a few days until I couldn't stand the pain any longer. I called Dr. Hirsch's office and they got me in right away. They took xrays and Dr. Hirsch explained to me that nothing was broken but definitely sprained. He told me that he would give me some cortisone shots. I was very scared as I am a baby when it comes to that kind of stuff. He made me feel very comfortable and told me that there wouldn't be any pain. He froze my shoulder and gave me the shots. I felt nothing!!!! In 2 days my shoulder felt back to normal and has been ever since.

It was a great experience in everyway from the moment we walked in. The receptionist was friendly, no waiting, the technician was kind & Dr Hirsch was the very best. I've worked in the OR for decades & wouldn't send my husband to just anybody. Kudos to you all!

Very Pleased
I was very pleased with my visit at Citrus Orthopaedic & Joint Institute. The doctor was very pleasant and gave me a shot in my hand to help trigger finger. I was worried he would want to do surgery right away but he didn't feel it was necessary at this point and felt like I would benefit from a shot instead. I love that!! The shot has worked wonders and I didn't have to have surgery. I highly recommend this practice and will be back when I need other "ortho" problems fixed.

Hip Surgery Gone Wrong
On March 15, 2022 I went to Citrus Memorial Hospital ( now HCA) in Inverness, Fla for a total right hip replacement. My surgeon was Dr. Eric Hirsch, Citrus Orthopedics in Crystal River, FL. When in the recovery room it was obvious to the PT nurse and myself that I had no feeling or control of my right leg, I could not walk or lift it at all. The therapist did not even try to do anything further and I was taken to my room. After three days and still unable to walk or lift my leg Dr. Hirsch came into my room and announced that I was fine and he was discharging me the next day. I wanted him do more testing he took x-rays.. He was rude and did not care or listen to my cry's for help .. he looked at me and said... what do you want me to do.. I ask for rehab he refused that to. I knew then I would get no more help from him. This man is the most arrogant inconsiderate person I have ever met. I would no recommend him to remove a splinter. my leg is still paralyzed.
