I had a minor but significant bleeding thumb cut. Dr Stanley provided the care and stitches I needed. He was personable, kind and compassionate as he placed my sutures there on the gurney in the New River Valley Medical Center Emergency Room hallway. I’m glad he was available to help me in my time of need, not withstanding COVID and all.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Never have I experienced such a poor bedside manner. Dr. Stanley made me feel like I was dumb and insignificant for how I felt. Ihe downplayed my kidney disease stating that he didn't have to take any narcotics for his kidney stones making me feel like I was a liar for having pain. Worst doctor I've ever seen. He needs to learn how to have some empathy for his patients.
