Dr Knoll
The first impression is always the front office. Immediately I felt at ease. Dr Knoll was very thorough and told me exactly what I needed. From there he took me to a room where I was able to get a hearing test. Well I def didn’t pass. lol I need hearing aides. Back to Dr Knolls room where he again explained what I needed and gave me a referral to a balance study. I was very happy and I will recomend him to any of my family and friends.

Expected the worst, got the greatest.
I got confused and showed up 2 hours early for my appointment. The staff said no problem and squeezed me in.

Look elsewhere
Dr. Knoll has no bedside manner to speak of. He made me feel like I was a waste of his time despite being referred to him by my family doctor. He spoke very little to me and it was like pulling teeth to get information from him. He became angry when I said I needed some time to consider what he proposed. This is not a physician that can work with or feel confident he discuss anything with me. It will be him dictating what he wants. I would have very little say in any matter. Trust in him would always be suspect to me. For these reasons I have not returned and will find someone else to consult. Maybe it's personalities that aren't conducive to proper health maintenance.

Atrocious bedside manner
Atrocious bedside manner I cannot trust his diagnosis because of it. He refused to discuss my symptoms with me that didn't fall in line with his pre-concieved diagnosis. He was dismissive and aggressively belittling towards any attempt I made to discuss my actual symptoms and issues. The office staff is incredible. See any other doctor in the practice. He has been in the game too long to be an effective treatment provider. Trust is a big component between doctors and patients and he does not seem capable of treating patients in a manner that would let them give him trust in his diagnosis or treatment.

Audiologist…great. Dr. Knoll…not so much
The audiologist who tested my hearing was very professional and explained each step of the process. Dr. Knoll spent approximately 5 minutes with me, refuted my primary care physician’s diagnosis and did not provide much help for my problem. Failed to ask probing questions about my issue. Not worth the time or money to see this doctor.

Disheartened Patient – Nov 01, 2022

I went to him because my doctor is trying to rule out what is not causing my headaches. He never talked to me about my headaches, nor my hearing loss, nor the tinnitus. He sent me for xrays, saw I has a deviated septum, and said I needed surgery. Keep in mind, I had NO problem with my nose. Trusting him to know what he is doing I had the surgery. He butchered my nose! I cannot breathe through my nose very well, and have to hold my nose to the side to sleep. Oh, I still have headaches, hearing liss, and tinnitus, but he has more mo.ey in the bank. On top of that he lied to my insurance company!!!!

He is a surgeon!!!!!!!! What do you all expect???? I have heard from several people now that he is a top notch surgeon. I quite frankly do not need a Dr. to hold my hand and baby talk me to make me like him! If he can do what he is called to do, which is surgery that is what I want him to be good at. NOT the social aspect of things!!! My son will be having surgery with him tomorrow and I couldn't feel more at ease knowing that Dr. Knoll will be doing his surgery!

Second time we’ve been to this office, different doctor, with same outcome. They laugh and say my 20 year old has TMJ and Balance issues ; and the 4 ear infections that the other doctors have treated her for Were not “Really ear infections.” I’m beginning to think Otolarengology Associates is just a really a referral clearing house for Balance Point and a TMJ dentist.

Dr. Knoll is very good at what he does "technically" but his patient interactions are poor. If you can get past his lack of social skills he is very qualified. Here's an example: I told him I've had sinus infections and ear infections at my last appointment. His response was why would you say that? I told him that was what my family doctor told me. His response... "they're wrong." I asked him why would they tell me it's an ear infection? He said "they don't know what they're doing."

Do not waste your time going to this Dr. I had an abnormal CT scan and he diagnosed me with GERD. I asked what the growth could be on my CT scan and he told me to disregard it. No answers other than I've been doing this 20 years, you don't have cancer. After an upper GI from a gastroenterologist was told I do not have GERD and was sent to another ENT Dr for a second opinion. He does not care about his patients and I was given a false diagnosis!

I've seen Dr. Knoll on a couple occasions-after a few years time. Both stemmed from throat/vocal issues. He is straight forward, and confident in his work. I only recommend seeing him at his CG location as the St. Francis location is overwhelmingly busy. I always have plenty of questions and he takes the time to answer. His office assistant, Susannah, is the best!

Was in the room with me about 4 minutes. Looked in my ears, nose and throat and said my ear pain and squishing sound I ear in my ear was due to me grinding my teeth. Two other physicians disagree. A joke! Never again.
