Dr. Eric Levens, MD

They don't make physicians like Dr. Levens anymore. I found him to be so personable, smart and supportive. He worked closely with me and my husband on our journey to parenthood. In my opinion, as I came to SGF from a different provider in the area, Dr. Levens was willing to move past the cookie cutter cycles put forth by big fertility networks and make a plan that worked for me individually as a patient. He thinks outside the box and takes chances and truly wants to get the positive outcome. He called me personally many times during my cycles to review treatment and offer support. I couldn't believe he called himself, I felt so supported by him. I can tell that he truly cares about the outcomes for his patients. I could not recommend him enough. You will not regret having him as your doctor.

Dr. Levens is immensely knowledgeable, kind, and sympathetic, and he certainly knows how to make you feel at ease. He answered all our questions and explained our fertility process in detail.

Highly recommend Dr. Levens and his team! I was his patient at Shady Grove for about 7 months and am lucky enough to say I am now pregnant. Both his team and him are thorough, very professional, and were extremely fast to respond to all of my questions and concerns, which is super important when going through this process. Can't recommend enough.

We switched to SGF after a poor outcome and experience with Dominion. Dr. Levens was realistic, but also confident we'd be successful and he was right--babe born July 2022. He was professional, yet also treated me like a human. IVF is emotionally (and financially) taxing, but I never felt like "just" another patient. Honestly, every member of the SGF team was wonderful--front desk staff, phlebotomists, technicians, nurses. If you're reading this review, then you are likely struggling to conceive. I feel for you. It is incredibly exhausting and you'd probably give anything for a successful outcome. It's okay to take a break and regroup. I wish you the best of luck and if you decide to engage Dr. Levens as your doctor, I think you will be happy with your experience.

For IVF doctors, it's all about the money and patients are just next customer to them. We face multiple failures (3) with Dr. Levens, but still we have not been able to get the reason why it was not a successful IVF cycle. Explanations for failures? Nope. We did follow all the recommendations, did the genetic testing as well but still no success we have spent money like water.

Paint-by-numbers, in-it-for-the-money IVF doctor. Nothing special. Nice demeanor. Success? Nope. Explanations for failures? Nope. I left and found out multiple causes for infertility that were present during testing but not addressed under his care. Without those issues fixed I was wasting thousands of dollars. Glad I left. Got treatment from another doctor who actually fixed things. Dr. Levens said I could never get pregnant, well I did. Twice.

Dr levens is the best Dr I never have in my life. Since 2014 I knew Dr levens, I have him in my mind 24/7. All the nurses I have have been extremely talented. Sarah is like my mother, she made me felt like I am home .when I talk to Sarah, I feel soo good. She made me fell like I am the only customer. Always Ready to assist me. I was soo depressed But the way Dr levens treated me shut my depression down. Everytime I go to Dr levens office I am stressed but When I get to his office,I always have my smile back from the front desk until my return Thank you soo much to all the staff they are very peaceful and experienced peoples. 10 years will not be enough to explain my positive experience with shady glove. Long live Dr levens you are the best. God sent me to you and by miracle Sarah what else did I need? Thank you Thank you Thank you.

Dr. Levens and the staff at Shady Grove Fertility were incredibly supportive and professional during our years-long treatment towards parenthood. Dr. Levens is a driven specialist and practices with heartwarming care and maintains the highest professional standards: he was prepared with alternate treatments and protocols to help us conceive while always being kind and understanding of the emotional rollercoaster of fertility treatment. He calls, answers questions, and asks how you're doing - can't be happier with his care!

He is the most caring, compassionate, awesome doctor. I can’t say enough good things about him.

Dr. Levens and the whole team at Shady Grove are amazing. Dr. Levens is supportive and reassuring, while telling it like it is. Mary is spectacular, responsive and goes the extra mile at every turn. It was always easy to get an appointment and they saw me quickly. My phone calls and emails were returned quickly and answers were always thorough. I highly recommend this team. Much of it was covered by my insurance. I'm 44 and expected a baby in October, thanks to them.

We are so thankful that we found Dr. Levens & Chris. Prior to finding them, we were receiving treatment at another fertility clinic and never felt a single shred of hope. Our other provider made us feel like everything was impossible. Dr. Levens was the exact opposite. We felt so comfortable from the first meeting & he was so reassuring. He knows his stuff & it shows and his kind demeanor is an added bonus. We are now 12 weeks pregnant with our miracle baby and owe it all to Dr. Levens & Chris!

Dr. Levens has been amazing, we are currently 10 weeks pregnant with our precious gummy bear. Dr Levens has been very supportive in our journey to have a baby, his nurse Mary always made me feel like I was the only patient she had. Without him our dreams of having a baby after 12 years of marriage would not even be a possibility. We will be forever thankful.

So grateful to have switched to Dr. Levens care. Prior to Dr. Levens I had done many embryos transfers with several early losses of PGS embryos. When I went to Dr. Levens I had new test result findings that were out of the box from SG's normal protocols. Dr. Levens listened to what I had to say, provided his professional guidance and together we came up with a new protocol. Dr. Levens is creative in his care, professional and puts the patients concerns at the forefront.

Dr. Levens is one of the best doctors my husband and I have ever worked with. When we began our journey to start a family, we had little knowledge of IVF. Dr. Levens thoroughly and clearly explained the process and procedures, answered all our questions, and put us at ease with the somewhat overwhelming idea of going through IVF. He and his nurse are responsive, caring, and concerned about you and your journey. They gave us our son and we are now pregnant again, all thanks to Shady Grove!

I honestly can't say enough good things about Dr. Levens and his nurse Danielle. Dr Levens took a ton of time me going over all my options and answering all my questions. I never felt like I was being rushed or that my concerns weren't being taken seriously. Danielle answered every single one of my crazy neurotic emails, and always made me feel reassured and calm. I had success in my second cycle with Dr Levens and I cant express my gratitude enough!

From the first time we walked in to meet with Dr. Levens we felt at ease. He listened to our concerns and our loss history and reassured us that we had a very high chance of a healthy pregnancy. Dr. Levens talked through our option with us and never pushed us one way or another. He called me after hours many times to check on me and follow up. Dr. Leven was caring and always made us feel welcome there. We knew first that we wanted a bigger family, but we also knew that failure would also come along with it. In almost 2 years, we failed, yet he motivated us and made sure to tell us that we still had many chances. He was patient with us knowing that we didn't understand what he was trying to say so he drew diagrams to explain throughly. He tried different ways to make sure that I could have a baby. I would highly recommend Dr. Leven.

Dr Levens has helped us with our dream of having a child. With about 2 years of infertility I reached out to shady grove. I was assigned another doctor at the time and after about a year I asked to be switched to Dr Levens. Many family members and friends loved his personality, his approach and kindness. From the moment we had the initial meeting, we knew we had the best. Dr Levens worked with us along with the amazing nursing staff to help us expect our first child! We are beyond grateful!

We strongly recommend Dr. Levens and nurse Mary who not only took excellent care of us but helped us avoid unnecessary procedures which would have taken an emotional toll on us. We especially appreciate their patience and empathy that came along with the excellent medical care we received

Dr. Levens is so sweet and caring. He truly knows and cares about each of his patients. He is very willing to sit and answer as many questions as needed. Infertility is such a fragile journey, but he does an amazing job of helping you walk through it! Everyone at the Fairfax office was so sweet and kind!
