Rotator cuff surgery left shoulder large tear
I had a large tear in my left rotator cuff. He recommended surgery as soon as possible due to stats showing the sooner it’s repaired the better chances of a fuller recovery. Due to extenuating circumstances on my end, the surgery was 6 months later. I am amazed at how the entire process turned out. I had little to no post surgery pain, the physical therapy was very quick and I was back at work in 8 weeks on a slightly limited basis ( I have a physically demanding job). I would highly recommend Dr. Parsons and his staff to anyone needing rotator cuff surgery.

Amazing DR
I’ve had multiple knee surgeries and dealt with multiple Drs and Dr Parsons was the best by far. Dr Fumich did a few unnecessary surgeries and I stormed out of the office on my last visit and felt dejected. After a week of feeling helpless I called Dr Parsons and made an appointment. Not only did he listen to me and was not halfway out the door as I talked to him he said the exact opposite of what Dr Fumich said and did. He recommended micro fracture surgery immediately and that was what I needed when I saw Dr Fumich but he decided to do two meaningless scopes instead. Dr Parsons said immediately after reviewing my MRI and talking to me that I needed this surgery. I did a ton of research prior to seeing Dr Fumich and everything pointed to micro fracture. If Dr Fumich would have listened to anything I had to say then he would have known that too. Instead he was standing there with the door open as I talked. I am thankful I found Dr Parsons in this process.

Two successful rotator cuff surgeries
I am in the process of completing therapy on my right shoulder after rotator cuff repair by Dr. Parsons. Although the outcome was grim with two of the 4 muscle ligaments completely detached, the repair which included reattachment of the ligaments, has been amazing. Although my muscles are not at full strength yet, the repair has been a tremendous success already. Previously, Dr. Parsons previously repaired my left shoulder, with excellent results. It was damaged similarly, and the prospects were not good. Now it is as good if not better than before the injury. Both surgeries were done arthroscopically with very small incisions which healed quickly and very little pain. I followed his directions to the letter during recovery and both outcomes have been excellent. Dr Parsons is a terrific surgeon, and I would highly recommend him to anyone with shoulder issues.

Dr. Parsons is an excellent doctor. He is very personable and listens to you. He did both of my knees for meniscus tears and I've been good ever since. He also did my shoulder for rotator cuff tear. He did a super job and its great now. He explained everything very clearly and carefully. I would use him again without reservation He is great!

Dr. Parsons reviewed the MRI on my right shoulder and advised I had a full tear of my rotator cuff. He scheduled the surgery for two weeks later. The surgery and recovery described by Dr. Parsons was exactly as described. There were no surprises and I was prepared for everything. He came to my first physical therapy session and he devised a personalized plan the physical therapist for my recovery. It has gone extremely well and I have Dr. Parsons to thank. He is really good and takes pride in what he does and what more can you ask? I am 3 months removed from surgery and there are times that I forget I had surgery on my shoulder. I am well on my way to recovery and I am confident that my shoulder will be even stronger than it was before. Thank you Dr. Parsons!

My visit went well. He looked at my MRI and told me i have a severe tear on my left rotator cuff. He immediately scheduled surgery and from what i hear it was on a day he usually doesn't do surgery which was on a wednesday. I feel very lucky all of his staff where great they made feel at ease and trust me thats a hard thing to do for me.

Absolutely atrocious service at the front desk. The staff there is extremely rude and unhelpful. They should all be fired and have to go through training

Doctor Parsons was very upfront about my surgery and recovery time. Appointments were mostly on time unless he got delayed in a surgery. The post surgery physical therapy was very pleasant as all of the therapists were very friendly and on time. I would highly recommend Doctor Parsons for any of your shoulder needs.

Dr. Parsons is an excellent surgeon and a very personable medical doctor. He was recommended to me by the pain management specialist I had been seeing who regarded him as such. He explains one's condition and recommends appropriate action. In my case, it was surgery to correct shoulder problems.

On July 15, 2020, Dr. Eric Parsons repaired a large tear in my right rotator cuff. After my MRI, he explained the procedure and what it would entail during and after the surgery. I began my physical therapy in August and "graduated" in December, 2020. I am 99.9% back to reaching my goal of being able to everything I need to do in my daily living. I would highly recommend anyone (and I have personally done so) to Dr. Parsons. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Parsons and knowing he was so experienced added to my comfort level.

I had an accident this year that required a complete rotator cuff reconstruction. Dr. Parsons was open and honest regarding the success of the surgery. Stating there was a very real chance the surgery would be ineffective because the rotator cuff was completely gone. He would need to pull tendons and muscle together to screw them to the bone. He hoped it would heal and work again, but couldn't be sure. I had the surgery. Through a lot of hard work and therapy I now have almost complete use of my arm again ( I have issues with reaching up my back). Thank You so much, Dr. Parsons, you are a miracle worker.

Rotator Cuff Reconstruction – Dec 11, 2020

Dr. Parsons and his team of physical therapists were OUTSTANDING. Their professionalism and attention to detail are only exceeded by their skill-sets. Which they put on full display while treating me. To anyone wanting or needing shoulder surgery ,you CAN NOT do any better than Ohio Shoulder Center for Arthroscopy. Dr. Parsons listened to ,and then answered all of my questions and concerns before and after the procedure. Sandy and Katrina (the 2 therapists who treated me the most often ...there were 3-4 others) both took great care to make sure that I wasn't "overdoing" it, both in office and at home. Constantly reminding me to "go slow" and "these things take time" . My heartfelt thanks go out to Dr. Parsons and Sandy & Katrina for their efforts in giving me my left arm back .

Dr. Eric Parsons performed outstanding surgery work on my right shoulder, using superior capsular reconstruction to repair a badly damaged shoulder from a fall. In less than 6 months I had regained full range of motion, and with the expert help of his PT Staff, I expect to be at or near full strength by years end. He also did similarly successful work repairing a damaged rotator cuff in my left shoulder. He is a blessing!

I had a torn rotator cuff and had read several articles by Dr. Parsons in the local newspaper. He is well liked and respected and is pioneering new methods of micro surgery. He was easy to talk to but very precise about what was going to get done to fix it. I had some therapy before and after the surgery which really helped. The entire staff at Lake Orthopedics as well as Dr. Parsons are great to work with. My shoulder is doing fine and I'll soon get my right knee fixed in 2020.

I suffered a massive rotator cuff injury. Dr Parsons performed surgery and now just 6 months later I have almost total use of the shoulder. It was my right shoulder and being right-handed, was a real bummer. Now I feel almost 100%. Great outcome.

I just saw Dr. Parsons for an initial consult. He asked me what happened, and then examined my knee. He did not push me to get surgery right away He told me that we could proceed based on how I feel. He didn't even push me to get the MRI. He told me I could hold off about 3-4 weeks and if my knee still feels bad then I can call the office and tell them I want the MRI and then I would get the MRI and we would proceed from there. I appreciated that he mostly asked questions and that he actually listened to my responses and that he did not push surgery. He is very personable and I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing an orthopaedic surgeon.
