Staff is very unprofessional
I had my appointment changed due to Dr. Scott have an emergency...I get it and understand. I received a text two days before my reschedule time and date. When I responded to the text to state that the time of the appointment would not work for me it ended up being a back and forth with them and received several text stating a time I could not make.....a phone call would have be nice. This is the first time in my 74 years that I was treated so poorly by a doctor's office staff....good doctor not user friendly staff.

This review is in reference to a negative review I read from a Bob and Treasa!!! #1 Dr. Scott and staff are amazing. I know both Miss Jennifer and Michelle from being a patient there with having mulitiple surgeries. I had major neck surgery in May of 2023 and major back November 2024. The whole office ia concerned about your well being and if Dr. Scott thinks he can help you he will do everything possible. If not he wont waste your time. Thats being honest and I appreciate it. Jennifer and Michelle are far from being rude. They are the most sincere team of professionals ever. The whole staff provides loving care. As someone new looking for a great surgeon please dont go by the negative reviews. You dont always know the truth. Maybe they told them what they didnt want to hear!!!. I came from N.C. to have a second opinion and im so thankful I did. I worked in the medical field for 35 years and I know from first hand that you cant please everyone. Yall keep up the good work and dont worry about the negative remarks!!!

Unprofessional staff
I had major spinal surgery by my orthopedic surgeon. As part of my discharge instructions from the hospital I was told to set up a follow up with Dr Scott. I called and started to explain why I needed a follow up, before I could finish Michelle rudely interrupted me and said there is no way they would see me and when I asked if I could explain the reason I needed to see dr Scott, Michelle hung up on me. I called back and asked for a office manager. I was rudely told no and again hung up on. I waited an hour and called back asking for the office manager again and was told no, I explained I wanted to file a complaint. I was told, as she laughed, to stand in line and her husband was standing right there (assume her husband was Dr Scott) she laughed at me and hung up again. My husband tried to call and they said oh you are with theresa, and pushed his call to after office hours. If they run the office the way they do and no concern for patients I would never ever recommend them.

Would not go anywhere else
Dr. Scott has performed surgery on myself as well as my brother and dad and he will be operating on my husband next week. Dr. Scott is the best in his field and there is no other neurosurgeon I would recommend. His staff is always helpful and Dr. Scott takes the time to explain all options to you. He is hands down the best!

OK doctor
I was seen by Dr Scott 3 times. Each time the office changed my time of appointment. Then this last time they changed it again. I have a set schedule of events too. And I don’t need a rude inconsiderate staff calling me and mouthing off to me because they changed the time for my appointment again. As for Dr Scott. I didn’t get any treatment from him and now according to the staff I need to see another neurosurgeon because Dr Scott woks surgeries 5 days a week. OK so take this for what it’s worth but if you’re going in to get a suggestion forget it. Won’t happen because he is in surgery and has no time for office visits.

Thank you Dr. Scott
An in-depth review of all the medical data and an examination by Dr. Scott showed that my medical problem was not a neurological fix but clearly an orthopedic issue despite a contrarian opinion.Dr. Scott saved me from an unnecessary surgery. I subsequently had another orthopedic surgeon fix the real problem...Thank you, Dr. Scott

Excellent and prompt patient care
I had a severe disc herniation at the lowest level of my spine that was treated by Dr Scott and his staff. They are always friendly and prompt with service and when I have a concern they take it very seriously and provide the treatment needed quickly and accurately. I highly recommend them! I’m looking forward to living a normal, high quality of life again thanks to them and their hard work.

Very good doctor
Dr. Scott is currently treating me for a case of severe spinal stenosis. He has, in the last 10 years, treated my wife for similar spinal problems and performed several spinal surgeries on her. These surgeries made significant improvements in my wife's life. Dr. Scott has recommended a non-surgical treatment which we are currently evaluating. Since I am 72 years old, I'm hoping to avoid surgery by "running out the clock". If I can't do that, I intend to have Dr. Scott perform surgery on my spine. I like Dr. Scott's "bed-side manner". He treats me like a participant in my treatment. He offers detailed answers to my questions, is clear and concise without being abrupt or acting rushed. We discuss medical issues and treatments at a level I can understand, and he offers alternatives if they are available. I like and trust Dr. Scott and if you get to know him, you will too.

Very Blessed and grateful…
Dr. Scott was highly recommended, to me, by a friend who had been operated on by him. I was experiencing a lot of pain in my right hip in addition to numbness and weakness in my right leg which took away my quality of life and daily activities. My MRI and X-rays revealed the problem area and Dr. Scott performed surgery on November 8, 2022. I was truly blessed with relief from pain immediately following surgery, of course there was pain from the surgical procedure, but absolutely no pain in my right hip. I am now post surgery slightly over one month and feeling great. Needless to say I am still wearing a temporary back brace and following all the rules and precautions that were given by Dr. Scott’s office staff. Dr. Scott’s office staff are the absolute best, friendly, supportive and caring. I am very grateful to Dr. Scott, his office staff as well as his operating team for their caring and support given to me. I am very blessed.

Said nothing he could do for me
I sent Dr Scott my operative reports for my cervical and lumbar surgeries as requested. I got a call from his office stating there was nothing he could do for me. I asked did he say why and she said no he did not say why. I don't understand why a Dr turned me away when I'm in so much pain and not give me an explanation. That's a Dr in my opinion that does not care. Probably has terrible bedside manners also. Got off the phone and all I could do was cry

Excellent doctor
Dr Scott was thorough, knowledgeable and caring. Office staff is professional, caring and on time. I've had nothing but positive experiences from the beginning. I also received many unsolicited compliments from the hospital staff at North Florida Regional where Dr Scott performed successful surgery. My pain relief was immediate; other then the surgical site. I would recommend him to anyone who cannot obtain relief through other methods.

Excellent Care by Dr. Eric Scott and Staff
Dr. Eric Scott first operated on me in 2017 for a ruptured disc in my back. I hardly could walk. He performed a microdiscectomy with laminectomy, and I have been much better since then. I recently returned to him for treatment for arthritis in my back. Dr. Scott is well-renowned for helping people, especially those in terrible pain who have trouble walking. I highly recommend him and his staff. His staff, headed by Mrs. Jennifer Scott and Physician Assistant Sydney, are very efficient and detail-oriented. They work hard and even work late hours. Thank you, Dr. Scott and staff, for taking such great care of me!

Dr. Eric W. Scott displays great professionalism, tact and great kindness in his work. He is on time every time with his diagnosis. I had suffered from neck and back pain for over 30 years. Dr. Scott found the problem and fixed it. I do not have the vocabulary to express my admiration , respect , and over all thanks for a job well done. If you need a neurosurgeon Dr. Scott is the one for you. He also has great PA's and office staff. There is a welcoming atmosphere when you walk into his office. If you must Waite they give you a good reason why.

From my first visit to now, a month after a discectomy for C4-5-6 I had nothing but the greatest confidence in Dr. Scott. He answered all my questions before I got to ask them. And when he'd finished explaining the procedure and its aftermath, recovery, I only had one question left. Which he gladly answered. Forthwith, honest, and most of all, competent and confident. I saw 2 other neurosurgeons (in Jacksonville, closer to my hometown of St. Augustine) but went with Dr. Scott even though it's a longer drive. I have no regrets. Anyone who has spinal problems, go so Dr. Scott. The office is delightful, with the many soothing comfort dogs on hand. And the staff is cordial, thorough, and respectfully efficient. The BEST of experience is what I had, and I was terrified of having surgery (my first). Others may be closer, but Dr. Scott is where I'd tell anyone to go.

Dr. Scott is an amazing doctor. He did my back surgery approximately ten years ago. His nurse during that time was wonderful as well. Here is the but....his office staff is very I inefficient. I have had health insurance for 35 years plus without in breaks in service or coverage. I had an appointment shortly after the insurance company and coverage changed from me being the primary owner to my husband being the primary. There has been and augment over a cost which was wrongly billled my the office staff and I even cleared it up with the two insurance and the office staff still hasn’t cleared it up. Now they won’t see me. Very disappointing because anyone who has had invasive back surgery knows you don’t want tho change surgeons. Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I would never bad mouth Dr. Scott because I truly believe he is the best and I have referred several people to him.
