Upmost Respect
I’ve had Dr. Shay for over 20 years. He’s always been caring and interested in my opinion and questions. He’s always willing to take extra time if I have more questions or reactions to his diagnoses. I’ve never felt rushed or talked down to during an appointment. He can be some what humorless, and clinical. But he has a good heart and cares about me.

I so appreciate that Dr. Shay is my partner, not a controller, on my health journey. His style is to discuss options and then listen respectfully to me. He does not over prescribe nor order needless tests but uses his skill and knowledge. He is contentious and considerate.

Dr. Shay can be hands-off and condescending. Examples include not treating bronchitis or pink eye as it will eventually go away on its own.
