Dr. Eric Slotkin, DO

My husband had his knee go out suddenly and saw a different doctor. That doctor said his hip was worse and did that first. Seven months later they did his knee. He went months and months with worse pain, inability to bend his knee, and no improvement. After getting brushed off by that doctor we found Dr. Slotkin and went in for a 2nd opinion. The day of the appointment Dr. Slotkin had to do an emergency surgery. Instead of cancelling the appointment, he worked later that day to be able to see my husband. He did tests the other doctor refused to do and discovered the rod into his bone did not fuse. It was simply moving around in the bone every time he moved his leg. Dr. Slotkin redid his knee, took extra steps to be sure of success, and he gave my husband his quality of life back. He is now back to normal every day activities, including hiking! We are so grateful for such a gifted and kind surgeon. We love Dr. Slotkin!

I’m a 76 year old who had both hips replaced at the same time! Dr Slotkin felt this was the best option. First few days were a struggle but now I’m so glad I did it. I have full mobility again and can golf 18 holes. Dr Slotkin is a very talented surgeon and a really nice person.

My knee just went out. Found out I had severe arthritis and bone on bone. The pain was over the top. He explained treatment to get short term relief but as a nurse in long term care for 28 years, I knew I’d need surgery. He was awesome, he took time and answered all my questions. Made it clear I would be in charge of the care I would receive. I can’t say enough good things about the quality and professionalism I received at the surgery center. Clean and calming environment . Wonderful caring nurses . I am blessed and I thank everyone sincerely. Still a long way to go but I’m so glad to have had such wonderful care and continuing support. I would highly recommend anyone wanting the gold standard of care to put your trust in these folks. Thank you Everyone.

I had both knees replaced:6 months apart. Dr Slotkin explained the process: surgery & rehab. It was as I expected and I was prepared. My husband had 1 hip replaced 3 years ago and will have the other replaced soon by Dr Slotkin. His bedside manner made us feel very comfortable and at ease. Highly recommend

You won’t find a better surgeon. He took his time and answered all my questions and explained everything in terms I could understand. Has a fabulous bedside manner and an awesome sense of humor. The new hip is fabulous.

Very competent; advocates for his patients; well-versed in latest technologies, procedures, and treatments; personable and caring; willing to answer questions and concerns; confident and decisive. My case was severe, nearly non-mobile for about three years. Three months after surgery, walking and moving with a one-point cane and on the cusp of walking unaided with zero pain. I was able to leave the surgical center the same day of surgery after my total hip replacement. I especially appreciated his confidence in me, his willingness to advocate for me, and his respectful nature. I hope my future interactions with him are simply follow-ups, but if I ever have a need for surgery on another joint, I wouldn’t hesitate to come to Dr. Slotkin again. He made a very upsetting and seemingly hopeless situation a success without high anxiety. Eternally grateful, indeed.

Dr. Slotkin is the best! He is extremely knowledgeable and a very talented Surgeon in every sense of the word...his surgery, his explanations, listening skills and bedside manner.
