Dr. Erica Alexander, MN

Dr Alexander performed a biopsy at MSK. She is highly recommended as far as her medical experience is concerned. However, when she came in for a brief moment to meet the patient and explain the procedure she spoke to the patient and family as though she were a recording with no regard for the audience understanding of what she was saying. She smiled at the end, got up and left without ascertaining whether the patient understood or knew what was to be done. When the family member received a call at the end of the procedure, the same happened. Spoke as though she were a recording put on fast motion and hung up.Dr Alexander needs to understand that she is speaking to human beings who need a bit of empathy before the procedure and a reassurance after. Her robotic attitude needs to change to an attitude that will encourage her patients.
