Dr. Erin Hoppin, DO

I made an appointment months prior for my annual checkup. I was clear on the phone about my intention for the visit and even asked how much it would cost. The office verified insurance information and told me it’d be about $50 or $60. I went to the doctor (Dr Erin Hoppin) on June 6th and received a bill of $441 the following month. When I called for support they said the coding submitted was for a medical office visit so they would need to review the codes. Another month passed, they decided it was indeed a regular visit, not merely a checkup. I called again and their response was: Even though you initially made the appointment for annual checkups (as their record shown), the office did more than that so it doesn’t qualify for the checkup category anymore. I said I had the intention and expectation that this was an annual checkup, I even asked them how much it would be when I decided to book the appointment. I didn’t ask for anything more. If the doctor at the office did more like they claimed they did, how’s that my fault and why am I charged more? They put me on hold for over 10 minutes and hung up. I thought Dr Hoppin was nice and asked me many questions regarding my health. But why did she change the purpose of the visit and charge me so much more than what I signed up for? I didn’t recognize the questions she’s asking and the discussions we were having would put me in another tier for higher medical bill. This is so unfair. I put my faith in professionals and trust them with my cares. But they turned around and put me in debts. Who knows doctors will be worse than drugs.

Dr Hoppin has gone above and beyond what I’ve come to expect from practitioners in busy clinic settings. She’s thorough, listens well and is very caring and compassionate. And she co-creates a care plan with her patients, making sure they understand and are on board.

My first visit was very informative and helpful. I feel lucky to be her patient.

I've been having the same issues for a while now and Dr. Erin Lee was the first primary care I've had to address everything I had concerns about and provided care and treatment options . Very honest and willing person. Thank you!
