Very kind and caring physician. He takes the time to listen and to explain all questions. I have seen him for the last two years and he has my SLE well under control. He truly has a heart for what he does.

No people skills! I came for on going care from another state. He walked in the door knowing he was going to dismiss my diagnosis. He did not listen to anything I had to say. Was very dismissive and talked down to me about medications and medical issues that I have been dealing with for years. My husband attended the appointment with me and felt the same way. In fact he was furious about how this doctor treated me like I was less than a human being. I highly recommend finding someone else and not seeing this doctor. There are too many good doctors out there who will listen and have compassion to give this man any further attention or money.

The only good thing I can say about him is that he was early. Other than that, I don’t understand how or why he is in the medical field. He blamed my weight for my issues and when I told him I lost a large amount of weight he then said that was the reason. He has no bedside manner and hid behind his laptop. No eye contact, no concern. He declined to see pictures and video of symptoms and dismissed me and made me feel like it was all in my head. I already have a dx and was looking for follow up care. He dismissed my prior diagnosis and said it was just arthritis because I was fat - or wait because I lost a lot of weight. I really wish doctors would get very sick and very scared at one point in their life - maybe the way they treated others would change. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this guy.

No listening skills Zero empathy Hides behind computer No personality Not friendly Robotic Mechanical Disconnected No intuition No people skills Lack of knowledge Lack of experience Disrespectful Does not explain anything he is thinking or doing regarding treatment Does not ask what you think or feel about any treatment or what has worked for you or what you want or would like to try or not want etc. Seems to just read from a computer list Kept wondering why he is in a position for helping with people’s health care when he seems to not care

Dr. Vina is a young, fit, personable physician who's been very successful. Unfortunately, he also lacks empathy and seems to think everything under the sun is a matter of losing weight. Do your muscles & joints burn? It's because you're fat. Are you constantly fatigued? Then exercise. Unable to sleep or stay asleep due to pain? Join a gym. Never mind that you weren't always fat, or that one short bike ride can land you in bed for days, or that you eat less than 1K calories a day You're just fat.
