Excellent care
I first visited Dr. Riffer about 20 years ago to seek treatment for a debilitating chronic pain and fatigue syndrome. Dr. Riffer was willing to let me try several different drugs until we found the right one. Since then, I have been able to work full-time and enjoy a high quality life. I don't know what I would have done without Dr. Riffer. In addition, he has always provided prompt, excellent care for all of my other medical issues. I highly recommend Dr. Riffer.

Dr Riffer is amazing
I have been seeing Dr Riffer for years. He has always been supportive and attentive. He listens and treats well. Not sure why others here state he doesn't listen. That's just not him. He is a great doctor and I trust him.

My experience with Dr Riffer has been all about getting to know each other. I get his methods and direction. He does listen and act on what I say. That is a rare trait in an MD as practiced as Dr Riffer. His personality comes through quickly and that is surprising to some patients. I have referred satisfied family & co-workers to Dr. Riffer's practice for years. I don't believe the negative reviews from bad patients. Patients aren't customers. Doctors don't work for you. You're not always right, and he's not cooking your dinner. It's an opinion. Take it or leave it. There are absolutely bad patients! Read the bad reviews and consider the sources. He is good at his practice and I'm going to be sad when he retires. I've been his patient almost 20 years. I am a Type 1 Diabetic and alive in my mid 50's with fingers & toes intact and eyesight as if I don't have diabetes. Riffer is a good doctor. He wont last forever so appreciate it while we have him available! Thank you.

I am immune compromised and have several serious internal medical conditions. This doctor never washed his hands after entering the room, he put his hands on my face and on my body after touching the door handle and other items in the room that were not sterile. He did not wear gloves!. This doctor chose to focus on an unrelated delivery from 8 years ago. My health conditions are not visible to the eye yet this doctor made me get out of my clothes and closely examined and touched the skin on my buttocks while making me stand. This doctor literally put his face within inches of my bare buttocks while I was standing and made me hold the gown up around my waist. This doctor did not wash his hands a single time and then he proceeded to touch recent biopsy sites on my legs without using gloves causing me pain and concern of infection. I just had biopsies taken by my dermatologist the same day; he pressed on the biopsy sites with his dirty hands and laughed when I cried out.

I have been to Dr. Riffer three times. In the three times I’ve visited him, he has never listened to me and I am interrupted every time I speak. I recently visited him with these symptoms- fever, swollen lymph node (it looked like a golf ball in my arm pit), and intense stomach pain. I showed him my underarm where you could see the swollen lymph node and he agreed, it was extremely swollen. As he was feeling my lymph node, I winced. It was very tender and swollen, so it hurt as he was poking around. He LAUGHED AT ME and said “Oh stop, it can’t hurt that bad.” He completely ignored my pain and the other symptoms and said it was just razor burn. (I told him I haven’t shaved in years because I had laser hair removal, but he didn’t budge.) A doctor’s job is to listen to their patients and help them feel better. Dr. Riffer has consistently made me feel worthless in his office. I have since visited another doctor and been diagnosed with a lymph node infection- NOT related to razor burn.

takes no interest in this patient whatsoever. It’s pretty clear since he spends the entire time punching information into his computer. Rude support staff! Close to if not the worst doctors I’ve ever seen. Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this doctor and his support staff. Horrible, horrible, horrible!

Frankly my opinion is this office lacks any kind of patient care system or service. After calling to see if an appointment was necessary or not, I never head back from the doctor or his assistant. With that lack of care I prefer to find a physician with better patient care and follow up. I had been a patient of this doctor for a little over one year.

Dr. Riffer has been my Dr. for about 15 year's. He is also almost the whole families and I've referred him to alot of my friends. He's an amazing & patient Dr, he's excellent about explaining the medical needs necessary to get a handle on whatever the problem is. He takes his time with each patient and he's prompt with all of the time's I've had an appointment. The staff is efficient and friendly but still professional. Dr. Riffer calls you and gives you the results of labs or xrays or any test.

Dr. Riffer is the best doctor I have ever had...bar none. He has been my doctor for over twenty years. The reason that I stay is that he has the rare characteristic of actually listening to his patients. He is kind, compassionate, and extremely up-to-date on knowledge that empacts his patients. Checking other avenues of care and referring to other specialists when necessary is easy for him. He is one of a kind.

My wife and I have been going to Dr Riffer for more than 25 years. He is the only physician that personally calls the results of tests and explains them so they can be understood. He is thorough and professional, friendly and authoritative. He make decisions that are in the best interest of his patients and spends the necessary time to explain why. I trust him without question and have sent many of my friends and they all feel the same.

Dr. Riffer is a great Doctor. He takes the time to talk to you and find out what your problems are. Then he gives you medicine(pills) to help you get back to feeling normal again. I have recommended him to many friends and they say that the Central Phoenix Medical Clinic is a great place to go to when you are sick. I understand, from other patients, that the 2 lady doctors there are just as good. That is why they are a busy office. But well worth the wait.

Dr. Riffer is a horrible physician. He would rather throw pills at a problem or accuse you of imagining symptoms rather than listening or doing anything productive. Coming here was a total waste of time and money, and I'm still sick.
