My husband and I were patients of Estil Strawn before Covid. We were resuming fertility treatments (post covid) and were required to have a "follow up" visit to discuss IVF. We were quoted $295 for a 30 min video visit, which seemed a bit much, but we agreed. We received a $435 bill in the mail, and thought they must have made a mistake. We filed a complaint, and waited 3 months for them to "look into it". They said the bill was correct based on the time and complexity of our visit. If a 30 minute informational visit was that complex for Estil, I have no confidence in his ability as a doctor. The visit was strictly Estil talking about the procedure of IVF, nothing was patient specific or complicated about it. Do yourself a favor and go to a more trustworthy doctor/ clinic.

I saw Dr Strawn when he was still working at Froedtert. He was not my main doctor, but one of the doctors at the fertility clinic. Each time I saw Dr. Strawn he came across as rude and demeaning to the point where I was not comfortable being alone with him. When I asked him if there was anything I could do to better the odds of my follicles maturing he answered "lose weight" I told him (AGAIN) that I had already lost 40 lbs and was continuing to work on that, but I was wondering what I could do in the next 3 days..... Another time I saw him my nearly mature follicle had disappeared (after follow up with my main Dr I was told we just missed the timing and I ovulated) Dr Strawn told me that the follicle went away because I'm overweight. I would not recommend him to anyone.

My partner and I worked with Dr. Strawn for a little over a year and we are greatful for the experience, but not satisfied at all. Initially he gave us 2 options (IUI or IVF). The 1st IUI, they suggested my partner and I use a clear blue easy ovulation digital test. We got to test 1 time and when we didn't get the solid smiley face he jumped right to us using a trigger shot. He never mentioned any other type of ovulation kit or tracking method. Out of 4 IUI's, he only did one of the procedures. After finding out I was pregnant from the 2nd IUI, but had a miscarriage. He then wants another counsel with us (Which we had to pay for again). Now he informs us about a "mini IVF" which is supposedly cheaper and involves less steps. At this point, I feel like I am being treated like a case and not an individual person. We got a 2nd opinion and we are focusing on at home insemination in effort to not feel so rushed.

Dr.Strawn was patient in pursuing answers as to the root of my reproductive problems. After a year of tests with no conclusive results he performed exploratory surgery that resolved my issues so effectively that I began by first successful pregnancy within 2 months of surgery and am now expecting my third naturally conceived child. I can not thank him or his team enough for my family!

My husband and I wanted to pursue IVF, as we were done spending money on tests and treatments that didn't work. My initial meeting with Dr S was disappointing, as I felt like I had to fight him to do IVF, he had other solutions (that we had already tried with no success). HOWEVER, after we were on the same page, they were fantastic. Kept the process easy to understand and painless, answered any questions whenever I had them, and most of all, it was quickly successful. I'll definitely recommend.
