Inconsistent and a Little Patronising
I have been seeing Dr. Frankel for a couple of years and in the past I have noted that she tends to forget things and not properly check notes before visits. One visit she will recommend something, and then a few months down the line ask me who recommended it and say it's nonsense. When I come in with acute symptoms, they are almost always brushed off as 'something going around' despite having many documented health problems. This most recent visit when I brought up a concern she not only laughed at me, but kept muttering what I said under her breath and scoffing. I had come in with serious symptoms that kept me from being able to work and she was extremely dismissive. She was also not wearing a mask despite my being immunosuppressed. There are always long waits at this office, but I appreciate consistency in my care team so I was putting up with it. Ultimately, it's not worth the wait anymore. I'd rather see a primary doctor that cares about my overall health and acts like it.

The experience with the staff is awful. I called on Monday to schedule an appointment, I was told I need a referral from my primary care because they didn't know why I needed an appointment. My PCP spent time writing a referral and called me back to let me know that it is ready. I called the office again and was told that smb will get back to me in a couple of days. I called again on Wednesday to ask when they will get back to me, the receptionist called somewhere and said that they are waiting an answer from Customer Care team and they will get back to me again in a couple of days. It's Friday and nobody still called me from this office. This is probably a bad dr if she tolerates this staff and can't organize the work so that it is possible to make an appointment.

Dr Frankel is a kind person, but unfortunately I would not recommend her as a physician. She is very slow and does not speak clearly or thoroughly, often rambling about irrelevant issues. She left the medical records of other patients out in the open. She spent a lot of time trying to log in to a computer only to find none of my medical history (which I had spent hours transferring over to her office). I don’t think its her fault that my records were there, but I find her very cumbersome which comes off incompetent.

Dr Frankel is very thorough. Her bedside manner is calm and focused. The waiting time to be seen however is often very long.
