We were so happy to have DR Kim
She was in need of two surgical procedures and Dr. Kim arranged for another great surgeon to complete her takedown of her ostomy along with his with his colleague and did a great job she was released after two days. Thank you for helping my wife of 50 years.

Incorrect Billing Code
My experience of Dr Kim was good, and I would have liked to give him a better rating, but his incorrect billing codes are costing me time and money trying to get resolved with my BCBS health insurance. A routine screening was billed as diagnostic costing me $$$$$. His office has been impossible to contact to get this resolved. If you have fantastic insurance that covers everything, he would probably be someone you are pleased with, otherwise find someone else.

Dr. Kim is very experienced and very caring. Excellent bedside manner. Reviewed all the information in my chart. My nurse said that if she had to have my procedure done, she would choose Dr. Kim to do it.

Dr. Kim is fantastic! He was courtesy and was always willing to listen! I had to call into his office serveral times with questions and he always returned my calls himself! I had 18" of my colon removed and he and his team were excellent! My hospital stay at Banner University was excellent also! No complaints and am very happy with my care and the skill I received by Dr. Kim!

My dad had a GI blockage for 9 days. Dr. Kim waited to take him to surgery because he had to get approved for overtime. He ended up going septic and he had to rush my father into emergency surgery. He ended up intubated and and has been in the ICU for over 3 weeks now. He is still fighting for his life. Terrible clinical judgment and I would not recommend him.

Horrible office to deal with. The scheduling is a nightmare. I needed a procedure ASAP and after getting a run-around from the front desk people, I am told I'll get a call back in 2 days and then surgery not for another 2 weeks! I don't know how good a doctor Dr. Kim is or isn't. I just know that the process of trying to get scheduled with them is so anxiety producing that you're better off going to someone else first.

If I could give Dr. Kim zero stars I would. My Mom had been referred to Dr. Kim by her Urologist. She and I went in to meet with Dr. Kim. He has zero bedside manner and after doing a very quick examination, he comes in and says very matter of factly, my Mom had to have her rectum and colon removed and she would have a bag for life. He then says very proudly he has done the most surgeries of that type. My Mom and I were in complete shock. We got out to the car and I said I was going to call a Gastroenterologist who I trust implicitly. She referred us to the most impeccible doctor with the bed bedside manner, who took extreme care during both surgeries. He explained the whole procedure, made us feel very comfortable before, during and after the surgeries. He went in and did a resection and he had provided the utmost of care for my Mom. Dr Kim, I would say you might a profession you are better suited for, where you don't have to be caring or compassionate.

Very rude staff. First time I saw him, I ended up in the ER and stayed about a week because he gave me medicine Crohn's patients aren't supposed to get. Saw him again and his office staff were incredibly rude and verbally abusive. One of them told me on the phone that if I didn't stop talking he wouldn't allow me to see Dr. Kim for my follow up. Dr. Kim didn't seem to have any problem with this when I told him. Most unprofessional medical staff I've ever experienced.

Dr. Kim and his medical staff were perfect. His front office lied to me about the cash price and sent me a fraudulent bill. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and if that doesn't resolve the matter then I am filing it with the Arizona Attorney General's Office.

Dr. Kim was wonderful throught my husbands colon resection. Even though he developed ileus after surgery and had a prolonged hospital stay, Dr. Kim and the interns at Banner were wonderful and caring. They made a very difficult situation easier. Thank to all!

Dr. Kim treats you like a 12 year old. Spends most of the time reviewing material needlessly. Grills you like he is a prosecuting attorney. I went to him to learn options available to me relating to diverticulitis. He rejected all diagnosis of diverticulitis by three different doctors and the emergency room staff at a local hospital. Probably the most arrogant doctor I have met in my 79 years. Find someone else.

I had a colostomy performed by a local surgeon. The procedure was to be reversable; however, complications arose which made the reversible not possible by the original surgeon. Just by shear luck, a home nursing care nurse suggested I contact Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim looked at my complete medical history and agreed to do the surgery. Dr.Kim literally changed my life successfully doing a resection of my colon thus eliminating the colostomy. I am forever endbted to Dr. Kim.

He was Excellent! My Dad at 83 had been diagnosed with colon/rectal cancer. Dr Kim was suggested. Dr Kim took very good care to exam the findings that sent Dad to him, to examine my Dad and to explain everything to Dad and myself in a very clear manner. Dad and I were very confident going into surgery. Dad was not worried at all, he believed in Dr Kim totally. Everything went great, Dr Kim saw Dad each day at the hospital, and even checked up by phone once him at home. Dad is now cancer free!5?

Dr Kim is a fantastic Doctor and surgeon. He is very kind, attentive and personable. I have recommended him to every member of my family. tTow of my family members including myself, upon routine screenings he found Cancer in its very early stages. So early that only surgery was needed and not the dreadful chemo. His follow up is care is very precise and comprehensive so you can be comfortable in knowing that If the Cancer returned he would know it immediately.

I absolutely love Dr. Kim. He has preformed 2 surgeries on me and both times I had excellent result from them. He is very knowledgeable and at no time did I experience any doubt of his ability to perform those surgeries. I am so glad I was referred to him. He is a 10 in my book.
