The very best surgeon
Approximately 10 years ago Dr Rubach used his medical knowledge and followed his instincts with my treatment. Doing so, he saved my life. I then brought my 88 year old mother to him. She is a brittle diabetic with colon cancer. Other surgeons were intimidated but Dr Rubach performed the surgery laparoscopically with outstanding results. Thanks to Dr Rubach, we celebrated her 90th birthday. I will always recommend Dr Rubach.

Very rarely take the time to write reviews but realize when it’s something related to your health you want to know who and what you are getting. Can’t say enough about how amazing Dr. Rubach is. He’s an amazing surgeon and more importantly warm and compassionate. Made me feel so comfortable before during and after my procedure. It’s been 72 hours and I can not believe how good I’m feeling. His staff - specially Melanie were all awesome. Thank you for taking great care of me and getting me back to being me again.

Dr Rubach has shown great compassion to my elderly father. A couple of days after discharge from the hospital - I had a concern. I called the office and Dr Rubach called me back in ten minutes. A special surgeon and a kind man

Dr. Rubach was a visiting surgeon in Doha, Qatar where I currently reside. He was the one who performed an inguinal laparoscopic surgery on me a week ago. While I was aware that he'll be performing on me, we never actually met or interacted until the day of the operation, in the operation room, which literally lasted for 30 seconds or less, and somewhat comforted me. I was hoping he would check on me post-operation given the solid patient reviews, and the fact that he was the who operated on me, but never did. It's been a week since the operation and I'm recovering relatively well.

An incredible surgeon! My surgical experience was flawless at their surgical center. The entire team from his surgical coordinator, Melanie Silverio-Casimir, to the receptionists, nursing staff and anesthesia team were all top notch and professional. I will be highly recommending Dr. Rubach at New York Surgical Partners to everyone I know!

Dr. Rubach was part of a team of Surgeons who performed a 9 Hour surgery. Dr. Rubach was excellent, sympathetic and answered any questions that I had. Dr. Rubach was absolutely outstanding.Dr. Rubach came out several times during my surgery to keep my wife updated and he made sure that she was okay. Dr. Rubach visited me daily when I was in the Hospital (St. Francis) and I can tell you between Dr. Rubach and St. Francis hospital I recovered way ahead of schedule. Absolutely the best , hands down !!! Dr. Rubach is the best in my book, he saved my life and I can't thank him enough. This is the doctor you want when you need surgery.

I saw Dr Rubach 8 months ago, after a long search for an excellent sergeon. Already at that time I was very impressed by his patience, attention and time he dedicated to explain in details, and to answer every question I had. I am out of the country now, and was hospitalized. Before going to the hospital, and while I was in the hospital OUT OF THE COUNTRY Dr. Rubach took the time, called me, and advices over the phone..explaining everything again with much details and kindness. I was very impressed and I’m happy we choose Dr Rubach as my doctor.

I knew going in Dr. Rubach was a top-notch surgeon, I had done my research, since it was not my first rodeo. Upon meeting Dr. Rubach I immediately felt at ease, I was blown away by his sincere desire to help me, he explained my options in an earnest and clear way. He took his time looking over my case and though I was not a candidate for surgery at this time, he took the time to call another doctor to find the best possible way to help me. I did not feel like a number or rushed. Kudos Dr. Rubach

Thanks very much for taking care of my surgery literally earlier this morning Dr. Rubach! I already feel excellent. I am so glad that I chose to have you handle this for me. I did a lot of research into which Surgeon I would select (I never had surgery before and was scared) but I knew the second I met you that you were the Doc! You truly know your stuff. Both your staff in your office and at St. Francis are amazing and said the most wonderful things about you as I will too now as walking proof.

Went to Dr. Rubach after a rec from another MD. His bedside manner was poor and the in office visit lasted less than 5 minutes. He told me the hernias I have shouldn't cause me any pain (which they do) and insulted my memory (I've had multiple surgeries over 20 years ago that I couldn't remember the exact date for which he was annoyed by.) Basically did nothing but feel my belly and said he would get back to me after reviewing my medical history. That I can understand. The rudeness, not so much.

Stay away from this doctor. We had a terrible experience with a small surgery that did not even have to go wrong if doctor would not have been so incompetent. Besides being incompetent he is arrogant , doesn't like to answer questions and has an attitude problem. As a result of a poor communication and doctor's incompetence we had to deal with a dehiscence of a surgical wound and months of healing it. Such a disappointment......

Dr Rubach answered all my questions (some even before I asked them) and was very thorough explaining the procedure I needed. He built a trust and a comfort level so I was so much more at ease about having surgery. He cares about his patients and their individual needs. When I had a concern after I returned home from surgery and called his office, Dr. Rubach returned my call as soon as he could, and addressed and eased my concerns. I would highly recommend Dr. Rubach. Thank you Dr. Rubach.
