Dr. Eugene Ryan, MD

I initially scheduled with Dr. Ryan due to the office location being close to home and work... fast forward to almost 10 years and 3 or 4 moves later, I still see Dr. Ryan because he's just a good doctor. He is easy to talk to and he actually listens!

Appointment went as expected. I have been very fortunate to have not experienced any major problems. Wait time was a little long but I accept previous patient requiring additional time. Always a pleasure to spend some time with Dr. Ryan. Expect to stay with him for many years.

Dr. Ryan is: Thorough, does not rush, ask questions concerning your condition or concerns, if a specialist is needed he does not hesitate to make the referral, kind and has integrity. Cares about his patients wellbeing.

I have NEVER had such a horrible experience: Condescending, ill-informed, disrespectful and pompous. All after waiting for over an HOUR. Find another doctor!

I went to Dr. Ryan for a while. He had a very good bedside manner as a doctor on his research side (which he contacted me about). As far as my pcp, I saw a different side. He would humiliate me by asking if I had a pillow in there (referring to my fat). I complained for over a year with blood in my urine and pain. He brushed me off. Finally, he did a ct scan with contrast. Found my kidney was full of stones and I had a big cyst on my ovaries. After the finding, he told my husband and I that he basically didn’t believe me when I came into the visits before. He even asked my husband if he believed me and then proceeded to say that he thought I was just another pill popper from Jasper. He had never prescribed me one pain pill. I lost all respect for him and now find it hard to talk to any doctor.

Smooth as always. Dr. Ryan also has a Doctorate in Pharmacy so you feel confident about his expertise on any medications you may need. He won an excellence in Healthcare award recently - you don't get those for mediocrocy. If you need a new doctor, this is the right place to go.

Dr Ryan has been my doctor for many years,he is very helpful and has always help me with any problem i have ever had,he not just a doctor but and wonderful man too know.

Diagnostic Medical Center on McCallie Avenue is a very clean, organized, proficient medical practice. Wait time is reasonable. Dr. Ryan's nurse is a jewel. As a retired registered nurse with 40 plus years of medical experience, I have very high expectations. I trust Dr. Ryan as my primary care provider to coordinate care with my oncologist, rheumatologist & hepatologist.

Dr. Ryan is a wonderful doctor. If you are looking for a new internal medicine physician check him out.
