Dr. Eugenio Vargas, MD

Dr Vargas did a L3, L4, and L5 Laminectomy in 2012 and discovered 3 synovial cysts embedded in my spine during the surgery. He removed the cysts and completed the surgery with no fusion of my spine. My results have been great. I play golf nine holes and about to turn 78 soon. I highly recommend him.

I had L5-S1 fusion done in November of 2016, my pain continued to and got worse than pre surgery. I left the hospital with antibiotics with infection. I kept calling and ask for more medication and help because my pain was so severe with burning sharp pain. When accused of being something I definitely was not without him doing any images I insisted I got images. That experience was terrible. Showed my cage came apart and I needed a repeat surgery. While in the hospital in January of 2017 I seen my cousin who had 1st and 2nd surgery the same time I did. My cousin is no longer here with us in part to this man. My cousin knew of someone else who had to do the same, repeat surgeries. So, due to his neglect I am left with more pain than before and he created additional nerve damage. I continue to get worse and due to attorneys not wanting a case because of conflict of interest and time limitations now my new issues have left me disabled living on a system that isn't life. Doctor Vargas did not tell how much pain would follow surgery but sent me home the day after. Severe pain spasms sent my body into full body spasms that made me feel like a human statue. After several days of uncontrollable pain, I was readmitted to the hospital. I was on so much pain medication that I recall very little of the 5 1/2 weeks following surgery. I have had more pain daily since the surgery than before. Always seek a second opinion before surgery by Dr. Vargas.

15 years ago Dr. Vargas helped me rehab my back. Over the course of 10 years I had injured my back 3 times. Dr. Vargas rehab me Three times. He told me if I kept on I’d have to “be cut” because I was making it worse. I listened the third time. He was great!!!

Dr. Vargas completely repaired my back problems and relieved a year of pain. He was the best!
