Dr Schwarzwald is deceitful and predatory. Went to him for a check up. Had horrible bed side manner. He was down right rude. No compassion or empathy. He told me an echocardiogram would be part of my physical and billed it separately. No help from his office with getting an explanation. If negative stars were an option he’d get negative 5 stars

I really like Dr. Schwarzwald but waiting for over 3 hours after appointment to just get into room then another 45 minutes to an hour to see him is so unprofessional!!!! I leave work and get docked just to sit there!!! He has to many patients and doesn’t spend enough time with me like he used to! He’s always in a rush now! I’m looking for another Dr. it’s not worth it anymore!

He has been my doctor for 17 years . I drive from Port Jefferson to see him and it is worth the drive! He is thorough and takes everyone’s health serious ! He is personable ! He is easy to talk to! Nothing gets past him ! What ever he has to do to figure out what is happening with your health he will make sure u receive all the test necessary whether it is in his office or any other specialists! He really cares about his patients! If u want good care go to a doctor who really cares!

Decent cardiologist. HORRIBLE primary care. Overbooked. weeks, months to see. Then, wait 3 hours AFTER appointment time. Always in a rush. Walked out to take a phone call and assistant said I was done. Had to tell him to come back. Said my symptoms were from anxiety and I was tired all the time because of my age? Turns out it's an autoimmune disease. Didn't want to help me find specialists or give referrals. Hard to get blood results. Gave 1 week notice that he was leaving insurance group.

I am most upset and disappointed with Dr. Schwarzwald’s office. For 4 weeks I have been calling to get my blood pressure medication renewed. No one has called and I am now three weeks without my medication. My pressure is sky high and Inhave a raging headache. Still no call back. Is it time to find a new doctor even though I respect him he controls his office and this non responsiveness is unacceptable to me especially when this is definitely a serious health issue for me. Still waiting. I guess

The Doctors Office Staff are not responsive. After calling to refill my prescriptions, after waiting seven (7) days, they still have not filled my prescription with Caremark, the online CVS mail order. Upon calling Caremark, I was informed that they also tried contacting the doctors office two (2) days ago without any success. This clearly is blatant lack of consideration for the well being of their patients. I still don’t have my medication. THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE A DOCTORS OFFICE. VERY POOR !

Top doctor my whole family goes to him. Of course you sometimes have a little wait if patients with serious conditions need to be seen first. I have talked to other doctors who say they send their parents to Dr Schwarzwald. No better endorsement than that.

You have been my doctor for almost 20 years now. You are an amazing and gifted Cardiologist with a heart of gold. That being said, it breaks my heart to be writing this poor review as I am here now 2 hours waiting and was just told there are still 4 patients ahead of me. I understand sh.. happens; hvr, this is beyond ridiculous and completely unprofessional. I am beyond disgusted & yet have no choice but to waste the rest of day waiting to see you to be cleared for a double surgery on Monday

I made an appointment months ago. I received a message that the “doctor “ canceled ALL of his appointments that week so he could go on vacation. Very unprofessional. I will not be using this “doctor” & my wife will be seeking a new doc as well

I was sent to this Dr. by my internist. He said it was an emergency, and I needed to be seen the next day. Dr. Schwartzwald saw me, He ordered a battery of cardiac related tests. This was in July. I am writing this review at the end of December. To date, the office hasn't had the courtesy to call me to give me the results of these tests. The only way I found out was my internist told me. There was never a followup visit, so basically, I was on my own.

This fool verbally attacked my 99 year old friend who I escorted to see him. She is hard of hearing and with limited sight. She had the audacity to say her blood pressure may be a little high due to the 1 hour wait in the waiting room. He went off on us, yelling that she should find a new doctor and wouldnt fill her prescriptions anymore. There's way more to this story but this review limits the amount which can be written. Hes being reported to the Dept of Health, Office of Medical Conduct

Ever since he moved to the new location in New Hyde Park the wait is horrible! Waiting 2 hours is the normal wait time. This practice is greedy and over books to make more money off of you. Find another practice that treats you like a human being.

This was my first time see the doctor. If you call listening to my chest with the stethoscope a physical exam thats was the physical...Dr. Schwarwald asked question upon question & entered in my patient profile. When I asked about any health issue he randomly told me to take a different pill each time??? Is this what Medicine has become?

Dr. Schwarzwald is a super excellent and knowledgeable cardiologist. He listens to all you have to say and never forgets the history of your condition. He has been keeping me alive for close to 10 years. This guy deserves 10 stars all the way. When I go over to see him, I do not mind waiting because I take his time too, when he is seeing me. I followed him from Great Neck Road to his present office which to me is much better and more spacious. I will surely recommend him to family and friends

Took my 85 year old father to his first visit with the doctor. Arrived 20 minutes early to fill out all of the paperwork. Was brought into exam room at approximately 10 minutes before his 12:30 pm appointment time and then waited....and waited....and waited, for over 1.5 hours and no one came in to update us on why the doctor was so late. We finally walked out and as we were leaving, I mentioned to the staff how unprofessional I thought this behavior was. No one seemed to care. Oh well.

Dr. Schwarzwald is everything one can hope for in a cardiologist. He fitted me in right away, was very thorough and concerned, managed to schedule all the tests within a two day period and called me right away with the results. His office staff were friendly and all the PAs and technicians I dealt with were thorough, professional and inspired confidence.

been a patient of Dr. Schwarzwald for 20 yrs. He is thorough, up to date on current health conditions and remedies, concerned for his patients, and is an overall excellent doctor. I've overheard patients being referred to him by other cardiologist. Yes, there is a waiting period in the waiting room, but the best is worth waiting for. That's why you go to him.
