Dr. Evan Torch, MD

Having heard so many wonderful things about Dr Torch, including that he still does psychotherapy, I was a bit anxious and quite excited to discuss my ongoing diagnosis at which other psychiatrists that I have tried over the years have simply thrown medicines at. I had tried psychiatrists all over the South and either they had not heard of my problem or had no idea what to do for me. Towards the end of my first session (and Dr Torch gave me a lot of uncharged for time on top of that) I found out more about myself and got more ideas than I had had from all my other psychiatrists combined! I could not be more grateful that fate or something led me to Dr Torch.

I really liked Dr. Torch, I had seen him for 15 years, and then I got married to a narcissist who controlled my life, including telling me not to go see my psychiatrist. So, I ignored appointments, and he eventually sent me a letter to tell me that he would not be my doctor. So, I got divorced just a few years later, I tried to get a new appointment with him several times, as he knows my history. He totally ditched me....... and I really have so many questions, why does a psychiatrist make you feel like that?

He is constantly late, extremely expensive, and a decade behind in business and psychiatry. He writes prescriptions haphazardly without sharing side effects or warnings of any kind. He also does not keep track of what he prescribes you so the drugs can have bad interactions. Extremely disappointed with him after 2 years of garbage service

Lady that answered the phone was not pleasant. She was rude, uncaring, and very impatient. Especially for someone that has the job of dealing with humans who are not in the best frame of mind. I wasn’t even able to make an appointment and was told I would receive a call back. Never did. I’m sure if I was able to get past the receptionist I would’ve gotten the help I needed from Dr. Torch.

The most skilled psychiatrist in the field . He has given me life skills that have have sustained me through some perilous times .

Dr. Torch employs the most rude, hateful office employee I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. I was put on hold forever. When the woman finally got around to my call, she couldn't/wouldn't answer even the simplest of questions. I don't know why any doctor, nevermind a psychiatrist, would employ someone this difficult, uninformed, and uncaring. I would have to question his judgement? He must not need any new patients as she didn't seem to care if she made an appointment or not.

Tremendously skilled and caring. He takes his patients as personal projects.
