Does not listen
After my cataract surgery, I had unusual and severe pain. I kept going back to Dr. Waxman who dismissed the pain and said I had' princess and the pea' syndrome. I was in agony for 4 months. He kept saying there was nothing there and it was my imagination. I finally got a second opinion from Dr. Pusz. She look the time to throughly examine my eye and saw that a small piece of surgery material was left on the inner lid of my eye and was scratching my cornea for 4 months! She saw it immediately and removed it. Had I not found this doctor, this piece of surgical material could of blinded me. She cured me by removing the foreign material. I was very disappointed in the dismissive and disinterested care I received from Dr. Waxman. I would never recommend him or this place. They are too busy and full of themselves to provide Compassionate care for individuals and truly listen to their patients. I will not be back.

Great Diagnostician, Nice Person
I have followed with Dr. Waxman for years after he correctly dx an eye condition incorrectly dx by another Opthomologist. He is through and friendly. The only disadvantage is having to see multiple levels of physicians in training at each visit, so leave a lot of time for the visit.

Excellent Doctor
Dr Waxman is incredible. The staff was always kind and helpful. My Mom had cataract surgery overseas and Dr waxman has taken great care of my Mom's health since she wasn't able to go back and follow up with original surgeon. He is a doctor that cares for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. My Mom will always greatful to get to know Dr Waxman and being his patient. I highly recommend Dr waxman and his team to anyone.

I could not recommend Dr. Waxman more highly. He managed me through several serious issues, including severe dry eye and cataract surgery. The entire staff is excellent.

First appointment I was hopefull, Dr. Waxman seemed to be on top of things. Identified a possible issue and had a solution to a possible fix. I was referred to a different doctor and was asked if I was ok wearing contacts. Advised my issue could be corrected with contact lenses to help reshape the cornea. After following up with the new doctor, that was not the case. Tried to call Dr. Waxman's office back to follow up and was dismissed and told to go back to see the other doctor. So I still can't see the issue hasn't been corrected and Dr. Waxmans office pawned me off on a different doctor who wants me to wear a contact for near sightedness and one for farsightedness.. try driving when one eye sees close and the other sees far away.. Back to the drawing board for me

He is awesome!! The only thing is that it always takes a long time to get to see him. I waited nearly 45 minutes this time; it's usually 30-45 min. But when I get to see him he is prompt - not too fast or slow. He really knows his field and treats me like I'm a friend. Yeah. I like him. Great doctor!

I have seen Dr. Waxman for outpatient visits. He is very knowledgable and, overall, a very good ophthalmologist. The staff is professional and timely. My only complaint is the time spent waiting for Dr W. after being seen initially by the staff. I typically have to wait for some time, most recently, 50 minutes. I then asked the staff if my name was still on the list of patients to be seen, as I was afraid I had been forgotten. Dr. W. was friendly but did not apologize or provide a reason.

I am basing this review off of his office staff, who double billed my husband. My insurance is working with this office to resolve the issue, but the office will not respond and have sent my husband's bill into collections. Do NOT use!
