Best Place for recovery
I have been a patient of Dr. Urresta, however, work with Patricia who is unbelievably kind and has gotten me through 6 years of sobriety. I could not imagine my life without her and will stay as long as she does.

The office does not return phone calls. At all.
I called and gave them my insurance information in order to setup counseling and med management. I was told they would "run" it and call me. I didn't hear back and recalled leaving a message and a week later I still haven't heard anything from them. Just unprofessional conduct.

I have been a patient of Dr Urresta for several years now, I typically see the PA Patricia who is wonderful, they’ve helped me be myself again , I pay out of pocket as they don’t accept my insurance, and I don’t mind because I prefer not to see anyone else!!! They’ve taken good care of me and my mental health , in which I’m very grateful. Lacey the receptionist is always pleasant and professional, when it comes to billing- if you have a financial issue they will work with you as long as you are making an effort, they don’t just dump patients without notice, anyone who said that didn’t bother to check their mail or messages. Overall a nice office, friendly caring staff and they are knowledgeable in their field.

I was a patient in 2014 and just received a very high bill which I do not owe. The practice never informed me that they stopped taking my insurance. So, they took my copay for two months before stating that it was simply partial payment toward the full bill. When I inquired, I was told that my insurance had not been accepted in a couple of months. They never notified me-only had a sign about 10 feet above the receptionist stating that my insurance was no longer accepted. Too bad. Good doctor

Bill ignored in Albany, NY – Jan 05, 2019
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Urresta?
I was a patient of Dr. Urresta in 2011-2012. In 2014 I received a bill from a collection agency which I paid because I did not have documentation to show where I had already paid it. Just last week (March 2018) they tried to bill me again for the same appointments. If you have had a similar experience you should contact the NYS Attorney General and Health Department. I'm getting the idea that I'm not the only one this is happening to. Thankfully I have documentation to show I've paid this time.

Frustrated Patient in NY – Apr 03, 2018
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Urresta?
After being with Dr. Urresta for several years, and having just seeing him the other day I get a letter stating I will no longer be a patient because I'm on medicare. When I called the office I was told not to take it personally, that it was more important for them to keep the the lights on . I'm a 42 year old disabled woman who doesn't deserve to be treated this way, and frankly the other 50 people dropped with me don't deserve this either. We are human beings in need of help, and were dumped.

I was a patient of Mr. Urresta since 2012. While I believe he is a capable doctor, his practice is seriously questionable. I was discharged for calling my insurance company to inquire about invalid claim summaries. The receptionist, Trish, threatened to call the police if I were to visit the office to obtain my record. I did not receive a discharge notice until 5 days after they cancelled my apppintment - in which it states they would no longer work with me because of the insurance inquiries.

Tricia just calls and barks at me that they don't think I'm a good fit after reviewing my meds but won't explain why or what I'd need to do to change that. Very rude and unprofessional.

Dr. Urresta is the best psychiatrist. They really seem to care and take initiative to help their patience. If I ever need assistance the secretary Melissa is very prompt and friendly.
