Dr. Fadi Al-Kayer, MD

Dr. Al-Khayer has been my doctor for 19 years. He is thorough, knowledgeable, trustworthy, patient and kind. Everything is carefully explained and every question is fully answered. My “health team” is excellent but he is the star. Brilliant doctor and nice gentleman.I’d drive miles to appointments with him.

Does anyone know if Dr. Al-Kayer is starting his own practice? How to contact him outside of Hartford Healthcare.

This doctor is very knowledgeable, kind and thorough. He explains everything completely, answers all your questions and you leave feeling good that you have been heard and have an easy to understand plan of care.

My thyroid was absolutely out of wack and with lots of patience and skills he got me better. Highly recommend!

Dr Al-Khayer is on top of his game. He is up to date with what is going on in the world of Endocrinology and is always looking out for his patients. He listens and explains in a way you can understand. He does not judge and understands that you have an off day. He makes sure you understand before you leave. I have never felt rushed in my 20 years of being his patient. We need more doctors like Dr Al-Khayer, compassionate, caring, humble, brilliant and up-to-date. I would rate Dr. Al-Khayer a 20/10. He is most of the reason I am so healthy living with Type 1 diabetes for 55 years.

I would recommend this doctor without hesitation. My office visits are always on time and the office staff is always courteous and kind. My questions and concerns are always carefully listened to, I never am rushed. All questions are important, no question is silly, or small. it Every question is acknowledged, and answered thoroughly, never leaving me to second-guess an answer. Having had a thyroidectomy, I consider myself blessed to be in the hands of this very wonderful, very kind, and extremely astute doctor.

I've been a patient of Dr. Al-Khayer for 13 years - I even drive 45m to his office since I moved out of town. He is by far the most empathetic and knowledgable physician I've ever had. I enthusiastically recommend him.

I find Dr. Al-Khayer to be one of the best Dr's I have ever dealt with. He quickly diagnosed my Hypercalcemia/Hyperparathyroidism and got me to a surgeon to correct it. Post surgery it was discovered I had thyroid cancer and after my Total Thyroidectomy he has worked diligently to get my thyroid replacement medication to the correct dosage. I would not change Endocrinologists and if I had to say anything negative it would be length between appts. but I believe this to be indicative of the field.

Dr. Al-Khayer quickly and accurately diagnosed my Graves Disease. He thoroughly explained my treatment options, the pros and cons of each. I would characterize Dr. Al-Khayer as an intelligent, specialized doctor who possesses great listening and communication skills, speaking very clearly. He conducts himself professionally, but remains a very approachable person. Unlike other general doctors, he obviously remains interested in research and the most recent developments in his field.
