My kidney function has been declining ever since I became her patient. Instead of helping me get better, she’s been on the sidelines watching me deteriorate. I am the one that has to bring up drug names and recent research reports up to her to talk about possibilities. It’s been so frustrating being her patient.

Does not want to listen to patient’s concerns.
I have had diarrhea, anemia, skin rashes, headaches, loss of appetite, weight loss, etc for over 16 months. My creatine has continued to elevate over the past 3 years. I have had SLE Lupus for over 40 yrs. I have 3 biological child with Lupus and have been to the top Lupus Dr in the West Coast, Dr Daniel J Wallace. . Dr Kamal’s condescending attitude as well as her dismissive demeanor is unacceptable. She should Never be in Clinic. She belongs behind a Computer Screen ..While in her presence for about a 10 minute first appointment , the only thing she focused on was her graph on her computer screen. If your blood results did not fit into her special graph, you were dismissed. I had to ask for a specific blood test to be ordered!I will send the results to Dr. Daniel J Wallace as, I will Never return to Stanford Hospital to see her.I respect many doctors and have been extremely grateful for their interest and thorough diagnosis .Thank you to those doctors who care for their patients.

Avoid at all costs
My wife had an appointment with Dr. Kamal. She had exactly the same experience as the other reviewer. She completely ignored my wife’s symptoms and charts. She has horrible bedside manner and her assistant seemed afraid of her. My wife was referred to her to seek answers and all she did was tell her she did not belong there ( despite chronic nausea and constant kidney pain and symptoms ). She has zero sympathy nor empathy nor a plan to seek out answers and treatment. She has no business in providing healthcare as she simply wants only those that fit a particular profile. She does not belong in the Stanford Healthcare System.

I was referred to Dr Kamal for the second opinion. She was arrogant and showed no sympathy for my condition. She did not spend time to listen to my concerns or questions. She did not look at me when I asked or spoke to her as she was too busy reading or typing on the screen. I don’t think she studied my file before walking into the exam room.
