I met with Dr. Waheed recently because of two blood clots in my leg. I found him to be informative and competent. I particularly liked that he listened carefully and patiently answered my questions. I never felt rushed.

Lovely, smart, and thorough.
Dr. Waheed was absolutely fabulous. Thorough, caring, and respected my right to decline certain treatments. I can't help but to wonder if some of the negative comments might come as people faced with tragic diagnoses displace some of their anger onto the messenger. That might not be the case, but something to consider - I recommend him highly and feel enormously lucky to have him as my oncologist.

Never
He was the most coldest doctor I ever met! No compassion what so ever! He rattled off that I probably have cancer, because of a blood clot in my lung!! There was nothing in my blood that indicated cancer!! He is a hematologist!!!

This Dr. is cold and indifferent. As an oncologist, you need to have an appropriate bedside manner. Dr. Waheed lacks this. He may have expertise clinically, but lacks the real compassion to be a trustworthy oncologist.

Best doctor to see when you need help
Dr. Waheed was my fathers oncologist who treated him for lung Cancer. Dr. Waheed was caring and spend time answering all my Dads and us kids questions during his treatment period. His knowledge on current treatment was evident when discussing option for my Dad. I would highly recommend Dr. Waheed as an oncologist.

Best Oncologist
I have had the pleasure of having Dr Waheed as my oncology Dr when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago. He is very thorough and answers all questions without making you feel like a bother. He spends the time, and listens without interruption, never making you feel rushed.

He doesn't deserve any stars. Recently my Mom went for biopsy results and he asked her "what is going on?". She had Stage 4 Liver Cancer and he knew it. He was cold and showed no compassion. He wanted 4 additional procedures done but admitted nothing would help - only prolong a miserable existence. It was obvious she did not have the strength for what he was suggesting. Clearly it was "procedures" vs "best interest of the patient". He was pushy and offered no alternatives. Privately I asked him what her life expectancy would be if treatment were declined. He answered "a few months". His cell phone rang twice during the visit; he answered it the second time - in the exam room, in front of us. Mom decided to decline additional procedures and decline treatment. The next day, as a family, we decided to get Hospice involved. Mom passed away 15 days after her appointment with Faisal Waheed. Perhaps he should review the Hippocratic Oath - I question whether he ever took it.

Several years ago I had a leukemia scare. My blood work showed cancer and I was referred to the Waheed. First of all he walked in, no eye contact, began to read the documents I brought. After 20 yrs of being very ill I have multiple sheets the list out in detail my diagnosis, year, medications and suspected diagnosis doctors are exploring. Despite this clarity, Waheed looked at me and said "what actual diagnoses do you have?" He didn't believe my multiple specialist and multiple tests and diagnostics. Immediately after that he took a phone call in front of us on his cell. He spoke for about five minutes. He then looked at me again and the bloodwork in the referral and said "you don't have leukemia" and left. My brother died with a blood cancer shortly after. A few years later I had the same problem, this time a doctor in New York City took an hour to explain why my results kept on pointing to leukemia or lymphoma. Waheed is incompetent, cold, pompous and shouldn't have a license.

I would not recommend him to my worst enemy.Very unprofessional .He does not return calls. He drags things on.Always has to confer with other doctors about treatment because he clearly does not know how to treat you correctly on his own.Makes you wait weeks between treatments in the mean time your cancer continues to grow out of control. This doctor should lose his license to practice medicine.Actually he doesnt deserve any stars

The only reason Dr. Waheed got more than one star is because he did help save my father's life. That's all he is good for. He's rude, with a poor attitude and no bedside manner. He treats his patients as inconveniences he can't wait to be rid of. If you merely want a doctor who will effectively treat a condition, Waheed is a fine choice. If you want a doctor who will treat you and your loved ones like people, rather that ATM machines, go literally anywhere else.

Dr Waheed was focused on protocol & making sure his records show he has followed accepted standards of treatment rather than answer any questions. I would not recommend him to anyone. I felt pressured to make a decision I was not comfortable with & couldn’t wait to leave.

I saw Dr. Waheed 2 years ago, and was not feeling very well during the consultation, which is why I did not correct his vision. He kept staring at my chest. I have never had that experience with a doctor before, and I was astounded, but was trying to get my questions answered and stayed focused on that. I recently decided to pursue a treatment that I would have to get through his office, and I thought I should give him another chance. But after reading his reviews I will go elsewhere.

Dr. Waheed is very knowlegable. His office staff are friendly but they are not timely about renewing prescriptions when contacted electronically by the pharmacist. I am not happy about having to call there several times to have my life saving medication refilled every month. That's why the pharmacy electronically requests the refill.

Recommended? No way. I went to this office for a long period of time, and probably longer than I should have with a potentially life threatening condition. Some staff at this office are working in this field for entirely the wrong reasons. Overall they are dishonest with patients, and at times abusive with poor communication skills. There was one exception, who was gifted. Some staff have a nasty habit of hanging up on patients which is Intolerable. DO Find someone else if YOU can.
