Saved My Life
1000 characters wouldn't be enough to express my thankfulness to Dr. Hui and his team at Queens Neurosurgery in Oahu, Hawaii. I was referred to Dr. Hui when my 5 year dance with migraine treatment suddenly developed two left feet. Dr. Hui is extremely personable and caring. He has an empathy for his patients that is unmatched! Dr. Hui is able to break down the trickiest brain details into understandable and relatable analogies that make his patience feel apart of the treatment plan instead of just a receiver of the treatment plan. Beyond a highly skilled neurosurgeon, Dr. Hui is also a researcher, an advocate, an originator, a sub-par joke teller (kidding!!) and much much more. I'm not exaggerating when I say Dr. Hui's listening ear, his tenacity, his procedures, his great staff, and his ability to mastermind a team of multiple surgeons from multiple fields (for my styloidectomy and jugular decompression surgery with a C1 shave) saved my life.

Awesome!
Telehealth
I am so appreciative to have been referred to Dr. Ferdinand Hui by my neurologist, Dr. Melvin Wong! They work together going above and beyond. They research and seek alternative solutions taking personal interest in their patients! Dr. Hui has been my ray of sunshine and hope for me to have a better quality of life. I have been told by other physicians that I am simply getting old, just need to live with my condition and prescribed medication. Through further testing that was NOT the case. Dr. Hui has completed one procedure to improve blood flow to my heart and I have noticed an improvement. I have expressed to Dr. Hui that I would like to go ahead and proceed with the next procedure to improve more blood flow. I am a patient that dislikes needles, hospitals, surgeries, etc. but I feel very confident, comfortable and safe with Dr. Hui. YOU'RE AWESOME!

Sent from heaven
I cannot say enough about Dr. Hui. He is an amazing doctor and human. My wife had a scary neurological issue while we were visiting Honolulu and she ended up under his care. His expertise, skill and insight helped save her from potential long term problems. The whole team at Queen's Neuroscience ICU are the most amazing group of medical care providers I have ever known. There is no other doctor in the world that I would recommend more for brain issues than Dr. Hui. There isn't a way to thank him and his team enough!

Best of the best
I was transferred to the Neuro ICU at Queens Hospital in Honolulu after going to the ER at Straub Hospital while visiting Hawaii. I have never been to the hospital or an ICU and the experience was scary. Once in the hands of Dr. Hui and his team (Dr. Sun, Dr. Nakagawa) I felt as though it was divine intervention. Dr. Hui and his team of doctors, nurses and technicians are by far the most caring, committed and knowledgeable healthcare professionals I have ever encountered. I never waited, everything they said they followed through on, they did every test imaginable (and some) all while making me feel calm and often making me smile and even laugh. The personal care I received is like no other and the knowledge and commitment that Dr. Hui has regarding brain issues and saving his patients is beyond compare. I cannot recommend Dr. Hui and his team enough. I am forever indebted to them and am beyond thankful for the work they do.

A Wealth Of Knowledge
Dr Hui is one of the most intelligent physicians I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know via his care for me and my Cerebral Venous Congestion. Him and his team are incredibly thorough and kind and I trust his expertise completely. To Dr Hui, his patients are his family whom he provides only the highest quality of care. He provides Hawaii a level of specialized care that is usually only available on the continental US and I am personally grateful for it.
