Dr. Perez is a fantastic doctor! He’s definitely helped our son come a long way and we are grateful for this. Our son has tried other psychiatrists with zero success! He listens to what you’re saying too. Can’t thank him and Valarie enough for all they do.Everyone is so helpful. Organized office/staff that goes that extra mile for patients. We strongly recommend Dr Perez and the awesome staff too! Valarie, thank you!!

Our son has seen Dr. Perez for almost 10 years and he has been absolutely amazing! When he started going to him, he was being hospitalized and his mental health was poorly managed. Since we found Dr. Perez, our son has been able to manage his life and is much more stable. He takes his time during appointments and truly cares about the well being of our son. The staff always communicates with us very well! We highly recommend Dr. Perez. He has been a huge blessing to our family!! ???? Thank you.

Sorry for the lengthy review, but I feel it's necessary to provide enough detail to preempt any claim that they were "just constrained by legal procedure to protect patient privacy"; they already tried to justify some of their actions to me in that way; it is one of many untruths from their office staff. I should also note that to the extent this review contains information the office didn't have, that's because they made no effort to listen - apparently happy enough with their assumptions to not want the information. tl;dr - My knowledge of the doctor himself is only through other reviews, which are decidedly mixed; but if you have to rely on the office staff at all - and you should think carefully about whether that might come up, because there are more ways it can than you might anticipate - then you should definitely look elsewhere. This guy is in it for the money only also he likes putting a very expensive bandaid over the real problem and when you explain that bandaid isn't helping my child one bit and actually the child mentioned that 1st . All the doc wants you to do is make another appointment. But continue to do the same and not listen to anything the patient is saying but doc continues to treat patient like a guinea pig and do more damage then help all because this doctor is money hungry and don't give a dang about the damage he is doing to these poor kids and who ever else goes to him . I'm 100 percent dissatisfied with the care he's not giving he may be better off listed as doctor for ruining life's to make him rich.

Dr Perez is okay but doesn’t make eye contact and does not acknowledge your speaking. His office girl is so rude when she answers the phone and talks down to you. God forbid you have a question because she has no time for that and snaps at you. Nice pretty office in a nice location is only plus. If you don’t mind the rude lady at the desk and you don’t want to be helped and just want drugs this is the place to go. If actually want to be helped, stay away they are not personable nor do they care about actually helping.

It hasn't been going well. Doctor perez is nice enough but he hasn't been listening to me. He is prescribing me medicine that is way too expensive to afford even with insurance and it doesn't work and in fact is making my conditions worse. I asked him to take me off of strattera so instead he thought it was a good idea to increase my intake of it instead and add another new drug on top of that. The medicine makes me sick. No matter how much I eat with the medicine. It's making me moody and emotional. He won't prescribe one medication that does what the three he has me on do and it's becoming hopeless. I'm really banking on him listening to me this appointment and changes my medication. I can't keep taking this stuff. I have panic attacks at night and cry hysterically by the end of the night. This stuff is poison and just awful. Do not take strattera as an alternative to adderall or other stimulant based adhd medicine.

We love Dr Perez but I’m not fond of his office staff. I tried to transfer our daughter from his old place of business to the new one. I ended up cancelling two appointments in advance because the old office didn’t transfer the patient files in time for the appointment. When I tried to make a third appointment I was basically told I was out of luck. I tried to explain that I thought since they hadn’t received the patient files, canceling seemed like the right thing to do. They would have none of it. I then had to risk exposing my daughter to COVID taking her to the ER so they could refill her medications. Medications that can’t be stopped suddenly. I think if Dr Perez had been aware of the circumstances he would have seen us and wouldn’t be happy we were turned away when we meant no harm.

This entire experience with this doctor and the staff has been absolute HELL!!! The receptionist Valerie is so nasty and rude. I honestly can’t believe she still has her job. She talks down on people and it’s truly disgusting. Every since they moved to a new office nothing has been in order. Now they are charging $65 (out of pocket) every month for a drug screen. This doctor and his staff only care about money. They could care less about the well being of patients.

His new office in Wentzville is amazing. The staff is one person, you always talk to the same person, she does all the scheduling, every thing other than seeing the doctor goes through her. Valarie is the best. Don't even think about going to another doctor. Oh and while siting in the waiting room waiting all of the 10 minutes to see him, she new every single person that came through the door. Every family, the kids names and even their schools! This lady cares. Dr. Fernando Perez and Valarie know the meaning of mental health and CARING. I will go wherever these two go. Thank you Valarie for going above and beyond with every single person that walks in your door. I heard how some talked to you and you my lady are EXCELLENT in every aspect of patient CARE!!!! I don't know anyone that does what you do every single day with a smile on your face and never let a single one get to you. You both ROCK!!!!

Don't let the negative comments deter you from this wonderful doctor. Dr. Perez is all about his patients and not the money. He has been seeing my son for 11 years. He has listened to our concerns and has guided us based on my son's diagnosis and knowing him for so long. Dr. Perez is not about just prescribing medication. He truly cares for his patients and their well being. He is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond. His office personnel is wonderful and she is very thorough, professional and kind.

My daughter has always enjoyed having Dr. Perez as her psychiatrist. He always makes a point to speak directly to her and hear from her before getting input from myself or my husband. We have always been happy with Dr. Perez and have really loved that he now has his own location with his amazing nurse Valerie!!

Amazing amazing amazing!!!!! Best doctor I’ve ever seen regarding my mental health he cares for his patients and removers the smallest of details here you are not a dollar sign you are so important to him he treats you like gold. The staff is amazing as well they treat you like family here best facility for mental Health of all ages.

Listens and answers allllll of my questions. Does not just write prescriptions. Been seeing him for 10 years and honestly don’t know where I would be without his guidance!

*Don't let the bad reviews of him discourage you, people write untrue things to retaliate. Dr. Perez is by far the best psychiatrist around. He knowledgeable about treatments, therapies, diet/nutrition, lifestyles and medications. He genuinely cares for his patients and their families. He is down to earth, kind and compassionate. He takes the time to get to know his patients. He is easy to talk to and more then accommodating. I know many people that see him and can honestly say that they have all had drastic improvement in their mental health, quality of life and their outlooks. His previous office in St. Peters was horrendous due to the staff that he had no control over. He heard his patients when we told him this was an issue. He moved into a building on his own for his patients. His practice director is an angel. She goes above and beyond. Treats everyone like family. We love Valarie and Dr. Perez the are the dream team! Do not look any further for a doctor. YOU WILL LOVE HIM!

Nice new office, great staff, caring and thorough

The receptionist with this new office where so unbelievably rude and unprofessional I cannot even explain how low they made me feel I don’t think they were giving my messages to my doctor because my doctor never Called me back when I asked the receptionist to have him call me the receptionist refused me to talk to him because I could not come in to do a drug screen because I had Covid and I provided them with the proper information stating that I had Covid The receptionist told me I could not call to try to talk to my doctor when I would call I never got an explanation as to why my doctor quit seeing me no one ever called me to tell me anything nor did they send the letter or an email All I wanted was an exclamation

Prescribed adderall to my son when he knows that he abuses it. Does not care about trying to cure people. Just makes money off prescriptions written. Stay away from him and his practice. Will be contacting attorney general in Jefferson City to investigate his license. There has to be a way to stop him. Will be contacting media to investigate his practice.

Wait times can be long but he’s one of the better psychiatrists I’ve seen. Not overly impressed, but decent.

I have recommended Dr Perez to my neighbor and one of my friends. He sees my son is very patient and doesn't judge me or how we are raising our son. Anytime we have a question, his staff calls us back the same day with a solution. Makes me sad to see how many negative reviews he has on here.
