Only one side was done
Dr Karmo performed breast reduction, under arm lipo, and abdominal lipo on my daughter with scoliosis. He did not lipo the right underarm area yet said it looked symetrical in front of the parent and 2 students. Mother had to make him look at the backside of which he barely glanced at. Said he was creating a waist for her. Her naval incision healed back split. Like an extra fold. My daughter feels disfigured. Shes a beach going teenager and feels lopsided. No one wants to feel this way.

Wrist fracture repair
My primary care doctor referred me to Dr. Karmo after a wrist fracture. He was very efficient and reviewed my xrays with me and gave options on how to fix my wrist. My surgery went well. After surgery, care was efficient. I ask a lot of questions, and I got my questions answered. He was pleased with how things went which encouraged me as this was the first time I broke a bone.

No Care for Wounds
He is incredibly insensitive and demoralizing. I was seeing him for an open wound on my right leg with moderate lymphedema, and other than wrapping the legs in Coban 2, nothing else is done, and only tells me to wear compression socks. My sister and I were trying to bring to his attention the fact that it hurt to walk because there is still an open wound on the back of my right leg, and he kept blaming it on the fact I only wore the compression socks when I first picked up Friday, and the wound I’m speaking of magically appeared because I didn’t wear them. The most humiliating and demoralizing experience ever. Do not recommend him for wound care!

Dismissive and ineffective
Doctor refuses to listen to patients, does not interact with nursing staff, medical students, or residents. Have been seeing doctor for months about weeping wounds on lower leg, and doctor only has one suggestion, cannot even remember what current treatment is when talking to me, or telling nursing staff what to do. Has missed open wounds on leg when additional wounds have started after first wound healed.

Arthroplasty implant was placed on m thumb
I was told that the only pain I would feel after surgery would be where the incision was and I would be able to use the rest of my hand no problems after the first surgery when they unwrapped my hand my joint was already blown out the incision didn't want to heal it kept festering he didn't even notice that it was already blown out didn't take x-rays afterwards to check the joint until the 3rd visit post op luckily my other Dr prescribed pain meds second surgery I was not as lucky in the beginning he wouldn't prescribe anything after he had blown out my thumb joint for the second surgery he had to take the implant off of my thumb talk about some deep down pain now at the base of my hand and down into my wrist it's not stable sometimes I wish the thumb wasn't even there it's festering still since first surgery knots all down the incision sometimes containing puss and hard thin pieces of something bone or maybe sutures he was going to do other hand no way he's touching it now

If you need time off from work due to surgery DO NOT come to him. He says it's not his responsibility to say you shouldn't go to work, even if it's obvious you shouldn't be at work. He, in so many words said due to him getting in a situation with someone's job because he extended their sick leave he won't give you a no note for work.

They were not prepared to go over my test results. My appointment was in fact to go over test results. The office manager was borderline rude when she informed me that they didn’t have the results of the test, she even suggested I run upstairs and get the test myself. I tried, they were closed for the day. Dr karmo raised his voice with me , and interrupted when I questioned him about the problem. Lack of compassion.

Dr. Karmo did an excellent job closing a very large incision. His expertise kept him from having to do a skin graft. He was very informative and personable. Two other doctors I am seeing were impressed with his work. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Karmo doing my procedure because he did a procedure on my wife last year. Would give him a 10 if I could.

This physician has no compassion for his patients. Once surgery is complete, he feels he's done. At follow-ups he doesn't even take one look at the area of surgery. I would give his "ease of scheduling urgent appointments" a 5 star excellent because it's easy for him to schedule people and take their insurance money. I would not recommend him to anyone.
