Don’t do it!
Was never able to get an appointment even though I was told to “follow up with a urologist” following an emergency room visit on a weekend for treatment of kidney stones. Could not get repeated messages returned or prescription for pain medication, and ultimately received help by going to another doctor out of town. Would not recommend Dr. Schum or Harbin Clinic urology practice to anyone, especially anyone in kidney stone pain!

Dr. Schrum is the best.
My husband had tumors in his bladder. Dr Schrum was very straight forward and told us that it was probably cancer. After removing them he explained the type of cancer it was and that he got it all but, that they can come back. So we go to him every three months to be checked. After 6 months he did find some growths so we went today to get them removed. Even though these procedures are uncomfortable and a little embarrassing Dr. Schrum and his staff do their best to make the visits and procedures as comfortable as possible. They are so professional and so personable I would recommend him to anyone. Great Doctor and staff.

Excellent care
Dr Schrum has treated me numerous times over the years, most recently in an emergency situation. He is always patient, empathetic, and informative. And he is a highly skilled surgeon. I would question any one-star rating for what it likely says about the quality and motives of the patient who authored it.

I was referred by a gyno because of severe recurrent UTIS in 2018. Dr Schrum was in &out of the room within 4 minutes for the cystoscope that was ordered & only said “I don’t know what your problem is, but it’s not your bladder” &rudely dismissed himself &I was left in the room dumbfounded. The last cysto I had had in 2016 for the same problem was much more in depth & but had thought a diverticulum found was too small to be a problem.Dr Schrum never even mentioned seeing the diverticulum.i left the office crying, because of his hateful bedside manner. I was so sick & he was no help at all. About 3 mo later, after tons of research, I had my gynecologist remove my IUD &send it off to be cultured. It came back positive for MRSA & Ecoli.i had to have a hysterectomy because of the IUD &I made my former doc repair my bladder @ the same time. The diverticulum turned out to be the size of my bladder&was holding infection 24/7. Dr Schrum is rude, careless,& would’ve let me die& I say stay away.

If I could leave a zero stars I would. I was fat shamed in his office by him and was also sent away with no medical care, despite a huge kidney stone in my right kidney. Very unprofessional and unpleasent.

Patient in Rome, GA – Sep 26, 2016
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Schrum III?
Dr. Schrum is very straight forward, not a lot of personal interest or interaction. Wait time each time I visited was in excess of 1 hour from time of arrival until Dr. Schrum came in the exam room to see me. When I asked him about this, he said this was typical, that they are extremely busy. For a person that works, this makes it difficult to continue seeing him.
