Misdiagnosed Basal Cell Carcinoma and dismissed my
My previous doctor retired from the medical group and I was referred Dr. Dispaltro in the same group. My previous history was in my charts. This was my first visit with him for a full body check up and I raised a concern about a growth on my face. He is rude. He dismissed my growth as nothing to be concerned about. I told me that my previous doctor removed the growth a few years earlier and that it was pre cancerous and told me to notify him if it ever comes back. It was in my file! He did not look at the history and told me that I could visit a plastic surgeon if the looks bothered me. He was hasty in his exam, dismissive to my concerns and nasty when I asked a question. I went to another Board Certified dermatologist and he did a biopsy of the growth and it is Basal Cell Carcinoma! WOW - Dr. Dispaltro doesn’t know what he’s talking about! He is extremely rude and NASTY! He should not be a doctor! I would recommend you look for another doctor!

Misdiagnosed patient – Jul 24, 2024

Will not return
Dr. Dispaltro was in the exam room for maybe 30 seconds. Asked me if I had any questions while he was already in the hallway leaving. I felt very 'brushed off'. He then left and a nurse informed me of what he had prescribed, which was a medication I am allergic to. He did not even glance at my chart. Will not be returning.

Had a 9:30 scheduled appointment and waited 45 minutes before walking out. MY time is valuable too. It's not like a Dermatologist might have an emergency that backs every one else up. Improve your management skills!

He is rude. He misdiagnosed my eczema as “sunburn”. I wasn’t out in the sun at all., He is nasty when you question his erroneous diagnosis. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about and is extremely rude and NASTY! He should not be a doctor! I don’t know how he has any patients at all!

Doctors are supposed to serve their patients. I was rushed out of the room, my concerns invalidated, and he didnt even give me the opportunity or ability to ask my questions. The biggest red flag was when he prescribed me medication that is widely known to cause birth defects and is strongly discouraged for those who are family planning. He didn't look at my chart, didn't even ask me if I was currently pregnant or planning on becoming, and did not discuss any of the vital information regarding this medication with me. If I wasn't a googler or even slightly informed, I never would have known. I did not pick up that prescription, and I will not return.

This man is a frigid & uncaring jerk. As a patient going to a new physician, fearful of what might be, one would expect that doctor to show comfort and care in helping a patient understand what is wrong and what is next. Instead, I was rushed through the exam & scolded like a child. At the end of the day, I was made to feel shamed for coming in, he got to be arrogant and I have to pay for $$$ this? It's all about quantity over quality at that office! Avoid Francis Dispaltro at all costs!

I met Dr. Dispaltro when I was in a crisis mode. He diagnosed my condition, offered a few suggestions, ordered some much needed medicine. I am thankful to say that within three days of my office visit my crisis was averted. Thank you Dr. Dispaltro, I will recommend you to family and friends.

I’ve been a patient for many years and Dr. Dispaltro is easy to get along with. He explains things so you can understand them and you can ask questions without feeling like you’re a bother. One slightly negative thing is that you sometimes have to wait even though you have an appointment. But that’s typical of many doctor’s offices, and is understandable when another patient needs extra time.

He saw my 85 yo mother and diagnosed eczema. However, he sent a script to the pharmacy for scabies, a highly contagious skin condition. He never mentioned this at the appointment. I learned of the scabies only when I returned her to her home (an assisted living facility) and spoke to the nurse there.

Out of all of the doctors I have been to, or taken my children to, Dr. Dispaltro has got to be the worst! He is rude and doesn't know what he is talking about. After listening to him for 3 minutes last time I was ready to walk out and never go back again. I honestly have never been to a worst doctor. He doesn't listen,& makes the wrong diagnosis. If you question the ridiculous things that he says, he's very rude! If you ask questions about medication or treatment he doesn't know the answer!

Told there was a limit on the number of issues I could bring up because there are patients waiting. I would have timed the visit if I knew there was a limit, but it must have been less than 5 minutes with the doctor. I did not learn anything new. It was a waste of time.
