I like Dr Garcia quite a bit. New patient visit, no immediate issues to address but some things to handle in 2 months, very comfortable with Dr Garcia as my PCP

She used to be excellent but now she and her staff are overworked and uncaring. What a shame!

Never
She never listens to me. She has required me to endure extra lab testing in order to continue my medications from other doctors. She's denied my having a simple surgery. She's forgotten to make referrals. She's ordered the incorrect dosage for my prescribed medicines.

Dr Garcia has a confident, take-charge attitude without being over-powering. She presents like she knows what she's talking about, which lends an air of comfort to the patient. Yet, there's a hint of humor In her demeaner which makes what could have been an otherwise uncomfortable medical visit much more pleasant.

Avoid if athletic or healthy
Dr. Garcia ordered unnecessary tests before seeing or talking to me and insisted I needed to go to the ER immediately because my heart rate was low. I tried to explain that I knew my heart rate was normal for me as I'm a trained endurance athlete that wears a heart monitor for training purposes. She insisted I go to the ER immediately anyway. The ER confirmed I was healthy, so all I got was $2000 in medical bills and a healthy dose of distrust. Next time have a conversation first, listen, and treat the human in the room.

In my opinion, the patient doctor relationship involves a great deal of trust and teamwork. My goal is to help my patients feel seen and heard so we can achieve their goals towards a healthier and happier life.

biography

I decided to become a medical provider after my fathers diagnosis of cancer. I am grateful to medicine for not only the healing it has provided my family, but how it has allowed me to connect to my community and take care of others.
