Dr. Francis McDonnell, MB CHB

Dr. McDonnell has been treating me for over 2 years. He is very thorough. He truly cares for his patients. I would trust him without hesitation. He did my Spinal Cord Stimulator Implantation recently, and I feel like a new person. He is the best of the best.

He is exceptionally brilliant and has personality plus. When he gives you an injection for pain, it works, and takes away the pain for a long time. I would trust him with any aspect of treatment!!

This physician was imperative in getting me back to being a functional wife and mom. We were involved in an awful carwreck and he has gotten me back to to being able to perform my ADLs and have my pain managed.

Amazing doctor. He's helped me so much these last few years. When I began with him, I was skeptical as I had seen two other providers as well as numerous physical therapists. I barely enjoyed life due to constant pain. He told me from the beginning the regimen would take several months of procedures, but he would get me in a better place. And he did. I enjoy my life to the finest now!

He is a great Doctor

He has helped my husband so much when other doctors just blew him off. We are very upset that he is no longer with the office.

Yes he talks rough, but since his mother died painfully with cancer (prior to him being a MD) his only mission in life is to prevent further pain. If he is being a "butt head" tell him. He welcomes that conversation too. Don't be afraid of him … dislike the pain.

Dr. McD spent more time with me explaining not just the what, but the why and how...and in detail and using language I fully understood. He laid out a plan for my treatment and told me exactly what he was going to do and exactly what my part was. I’m lucky to have found him.

I had such high hopes because he's treated my husband so well, but he was a complete inconsiderate, ignorant jerk with me. He gave me pain meds I told him I've taken many times before and didn't help. He insisted they do. Except that no, they DON'T. He told me I would die in the next 7 years, and asked which one of my kids I wanted stuck with my funeral bill. He tried to tell me about medical issues I have that had nothing to do with why I was there and he was incorrect, at that. Never again!

everything seem to be fine they performed injections I was also on pain medications and then exercises I have fibromyalgia and arthritis recently I’m going in because they said that my urine test came back with my medications not in my system I told him there had to be some kind of reason or something and I was in taking that would make that not true but when I went in for a pill count and everything I was very embarrassed They made me feel belittled They refused to give me the benefit of doubt

This man and his staff has been nothing but excellent in their care. I do not know how other people say otherwise. My entire family go for him for our chronic pain.

Dr. McDonnell is not a kind doctor. He only wants to give a ton of injections. After he put me through his initial evaluation of me, I was quietly in tears. I felt like an inhumane object being tossed around on his cold hard examining table. I should have not come back after that but it was hard getting a referral to get help. It only got worse from there. I had come for multiple injections, none that helped and some he changed his mind the day of the procedure what I was getting.

Dr. McDonnell has been the only doctor in Evansville that has helped me with my pain. All the other doctors told me I would have to have a back fusion. But first I had to lose weight. Kind of hard when you are in so much pain you cannot walk. Dr. McDonnell listen to what I told him. He checked me over, and then he told me what I needed to do. And yes he gave me shots in my back and the pain level went for 10 to a 2. So great full I was recommended to him by Michelle Hirsch thank you.

He is rude, discounting of Diagnoses given by other doctors. He acts like a bully if you question him. He is verbally abusive. I would not recommend this doctor.

He is a bully who is rude. He doesn't like to be questioned. He doesn't believe in fibromyalgia and thinks giving injections in your back should solve all issues. Compassion and listening are skills necessary for a doctor to be able to help patients and unfortunately I did not see any of it.
