Dr. Francisco Dieguez, MD

I'm a university professor and my mother is an MD. I went to Dr. Dieguez because another Dr. recommended him since his first visit was ONLY $150, ekg included. I waited for 3 hours in his office and he saw me for a few minutes, he auscultated my chest, and he did not order the ekg that was included with the first visit, instead, he recommended me to do an echocardiogram. When I asked in the front office the echocardiogram was $400 and the worst thing is that even though I never did, because I'm still young and healthy, I just got another bill from this office for $78.01 for the first visit. This doctor is using unethical behavior to overcharge his patients. My advice to you is to try to find another cardiologist.

PLEASE AVOID this office. You will THANK me later. His office is a disaster, unprofessional and the wait time is ridiculously long. This office does not give patients the option to have procedures performed else where and since most of the patients are Spanish speaking they don't actually know they have OTHER options. Instead of having to wait for hours at time for a consult or procedures. In addition, the billing they have is horrible as well. I asked them to make sure all procedures being performed were covered by insurance, today I received a bill in the amount of $650.00. I called to inquire about the charges and nobody answers the phone. One I was able to get through to someone I was told "the girl that does it is not here at the moment". Needless to say, the office is a disaster and if you can avoid it please do so. Regarding the doctor, my visit with him was extremely brief as if he was in a hurry.

Get ready to wait. I've been coming here for years and it's always been the same . Too many patients in the waiting room. If the appointment is for 1 expect to see the doctor 2-3 hours later. This is not an exaggeration. Please note that this wait time is for a regular check where you go in and the doctor sees you for a few minutes. The wait for the stress tesst is even longer. I arrived at 7 o'clock for the stress test and didn't get seen till 9 am. After that it takes another 4 hours.
