Always plan to spend at least 2-3 hours & he spends 5 minutes with you. Parking is horrible & getting to his office is not good with walker or rollator. Last time I waited 35 minutes before being seen by anyone.

Dr. Cotter as well as his staff always go above & beyond to make my every 6 month eye appointments pleasant. The care & compassion they show is wonderful. Sometimes my time spent in the office is long, but I know its for a good reason & they are doing their very best to treat my glaucoma. I can truly say that Dr. Cotter and his staff treat their patients like friends & their friends like family. The Roanoke area is lucky to have such a kind, compassionate, knowledgeable physician & great staff.

Dr Frank Cotter is wonderful, but his staff leave a bad taste in my experience with him. They are not sensitive to the needs of the patients. Example, I needed a tissue and there was an empty box in the waiting room. I pointed this out to a lady behind the desk and she stated we are aware of it but did not offer to get another box. It is my experience that when you need a tissue, you need it now, not in a half an hour. It was eventually replaced, but about a half hour later. ALWAYS LATE

Dr. Cotter came out at 10:00 p.m. Sat. night opened his office and took care of me after a blow to my eye with a bungee cord. We drove 2 hrs. from WV, they could not find any doctor available or willing to see me till Monday. The emergency room Dr. was very worried about the blood he could see in the back of my eye & not being able to see. Dr. Cotter has cared for me since 5/2013. The night we met him he told us we would be treated like family & he has kept his word. My husband see him now.

I would recommend Dr. Cotter for cataract laser surgery. I had cataracts removed, lens implant and IStent in both eyes (2 weeks apart). He and his staff explained what would happen during the surgery and recovery. Right after the procure was complete - what a difference - I could see without glasses (I'm 60 yrs old woman and have been wearing glasses for 53 years). Dr. Cotter and his staff are AWESOME - very caring, professional and would answer any question that you may have.

Not good. Did laser surgery on my eye. Told me I would feel a little pinch. Was more like a fiery dart in my eye. Very painful. I groaned a few times and he told me to knock it off. Not very personable. He hurried to finish, then walked out telling employee to take care of me.
