I am in my 20s and I went to urgent care for high blood pressure, fatigue, dizziness, shakiness, feeling of going to pass out. Dr. Dopp took my blood pressure and said it was normal and that I should “stand up slower”. I told him I had been sick off and on for a month. He proceeded to check my heart beat and said that I sounded stressed. Had a low grade fever but dismissed everything I was telling him. Did not check my ears, nose, or throat. Ultimately rushed my appt and told me I was fine. Do not recommend as he did not even offer to take additional tests but rather said that since I I had normal blood work 3 months prior that I’m fine.

Dangerous Doctor—Patients Beware!
My son sees a family doctor in this same group of physicians (Bayview), so when he came down with pink eye and needed an urgent visit, we saw Dr. Dopp at their urgent clinic (NowCare). He examined my son’s eye and prescribed antibiotic drops. That wasn’t the problem. The problem, (which has only surfaced a few months later) is that he made erroneous notes in my son’s medical record (discontinuing one anti-depressant medication and listing another which my son has never taken). Last week, when we were at my son’s medication management visit, the physician assistant noted he was on a sub-therapeutic dose and said she’d put in a refill and up the doseage. It wasn’t until I was given the wrong medication at the pharmacy that I caught the mistake, and when I called my son’s PCP the nurse went back into his record and found that Dr. Dopp was the one who made this change. These medications are not interchangeable and my son was put at risk of major harm had the mistake not been caught. Scary!

Had a Telehealth Appt with Dr. Dopp; he showed no interest in addressing my issue and was very quick to end our call. He appeared to disregard what I was saying and did not express a willingness to want to help. He seemed less interested in my issue and helping me and more interested in moving on to the next patient. Would not recommend.

Dr. Dopp is a fine doctor and a wonderful humanitarian. Those two can be mutually exclusive in the medical field, however Dr Dopp makes it look easy, he is a kind man with a warm heart, and a sharp mind . That combination is very hard to find anywhere, once again Dr. Dopp makes it look very easy and normal, when we know it to be exceptional. His skills as a medical Doctor are also exceptional. A finer physician or human being I don’t believe you will find any where. He is professional, honorable, respectful, and punctual.
