Dr. Frank Tsai, MD

I saw Dr Tsai for a grand total of 15 mins over 3 visits. Clearly I was just a number to him. No empathy, just take these pills for the next 10 years and goodbye. I found a better oncologist at Mayo who spent over 50 mins per appointment with me to review my care plan and agreed that I did not need the medication Dr Tsai was pushing on me..

My wife was diagnosed with stage four Colon cancer. After 3 months of chemo we have chosen hospice. Dr Tsai never explained the hospice option so we found our way there on our own. He is always late for appointments, wheels in a cart with a laptop, is very cold and impersonal, impossible to get on the phone with questions, and getting refills for scripts is next to impossible. The Piper Center support is non existent. The Patient Navigators do not return calls and his office staff is burly and inpatient. Would highly recommend you do not seek treatment here.

Great experience, knowledgeable and caring. Explained diagnosis, prognosis and treatment throughly. I continue under his care.

Dr. Frank Tsai is a caring and very knowledgeable oncologist, associated with Pinnacle Oncology. My husband is right now under his care for head and neck cancer and Dr. Tsai plays a critical role in my husband's recovery. A gentle man, a compassionate man, an expert in his specialty. His staff is also fantastic. Phone calls are answered immediately and you never feel alone. Dr. Tsai and his staff are on your team, all working to help you recover. Thank you to everyone of you.

I wish MR. Tsai would've taken me a little more serious when i was admitted in April of 2015 for abdominal pain, I had a preexisting blood clotting disorder from 10 years prior and I felt like I had to chase him down to try to find an answer. Because he could not find anything from the tests he ran he made me feel as if I was crazy. He did not put in any effort and I had to call his office several times. Fast forward to today and I have been in the hospital for 4 days due to massive blood clots

He's great! Dr. Tsai was highly recommended by my mom's cardiologist, who is one of the most highly regarded surgeons in Arizona and the U.S. He's smart and caring and spent almost 30 minutes with my mom (and me) today, even though the prognosis and news is very good and straightforward. Dr told told me what he wanted to do without any explanation or discussion. Never went over my health history which was submitted to him. Could not do what he wanted due to existing conditions. Chemotherapy he wanted to do could have caused me major problems.
