Dr. Fred Porcase Jr, DO

I was Dr. Porcase's patient for about a year. At the time I was his patient, I was rear-ended, and my neck, back and knees were obviously injured. When I went to see him for an evaluation, all he focused on was my weight. To be fair, I classified as "obese," at the time. He only went on about how high my blood pressure was, and didn't do anything for me otherwise. To be clear, I was nervous something was badly injured, and had consumed a fair bit of breakfast tea for the early appointment. He eventually referred me to pt. I had to schedule a visit to have a prescription refilled, and he decided to conduct my yearly physical. I hate needles, and wanted to come back for the blood work. He shoved my file in my face, and said something like "it's your life, die if you want to." I didn't go back to see him after this.

Dr. Porcase has been my primary care Doctor for over 20 years. And although it can be a bit hectic at times, I have received nothing but exemplary care the entire time. He has always ensured that I'm up to date on any preventative screenings and lab work. His staff is top notch and are always very kind considerate. Most importantly he and his girls LISTEN. A trait that unfortunately seems to be in short supply these days. Highly recommended.

Dr. Porcase has been my mother's "doctor" for years. She has told me that the medical care she receives in her monthly appt with him depends on his mood and the time of day (ei appts just before lunch are rushed). I wasn't sure if this was an accurate portrayal, but her major health issues have been ignored for years even though she sees him monthly. I went to her last appointment and he did not LOOK at her or SPEAK to her except for a few words. His back was turned the entire time.

There are some good providers in his office (Tina). But his office takes 3 or more days to fill prescriptions. There is no communication from his staff, under any circumstances, regarding what happened to your refill request. You cannot see your lab results online like you can at most medical offices. And he sells "garlic oil" from his office, reminiscent of snake oil. This seems like an office about to crumble from unethical and inefficient operations. You've been warned.

This man is wonderful. Busy and efficient. I've recently came to him from another medical center because of switch of insurance. I was apprehensive because I just had established a relationship with prior dr. Dr.Porcase cares so much for his patients and they're wellbeing. HE LISTENS! I've gotten answers. I feel better. Great actually. I was in the waiting room with a woman who had been seeing him for 30 yrs. She drives from palatka! You don't have dedicated patients from being a bad dr.

He and his staff are very un professional. he curse's a lot with patients and staff. he takes 3 to 6 day's to fill perscription's . He also sell's product's in his office. you can hear his staff talking badly about other patient's. very unethical. I was very unhappy with Dr. porcase.!!!!
