He has been a godsend.
Dr. Wagshul has been my pulmonologist for over 20 years now. He was recommended to me by my primary care physician when my twice yearly respiratory issues became more than he could successfully deal with. Dr. Wagshul discovered the source of the problem and began to deal with it successfully. He has educated me at the same time so that I recognize whenever this particular strain tries to manifest and has given me the tools to stop the regular visits to urgent care clinics for breathing treatments. He is kind; he is concerned about his patients; he is up-to-date with treatments. He can be blunt when need be as he is no nonsense. That is what impresses me. When I listen and follow his advice, I get the results I need. When I moved out-of-state 9 years ago, he was the one Dayton specialist I kept. My family agreed with my decision then and still do today, so much so they have even been willing to drive me up when necessary.

Doctor Wagshul has saved my life more than once. I used to get pneumonia at least once a year before I came to see Doctor Wagshul. After his treatment, it has been over 10 years with no pneumonia. He is literally a life saver.

In these times we live in it is difficult to find an individual with morality, ethics, compassion and an extreme willingness to use their medical knowledge and experience to treat you as a whole person. Dr. Wagshul intently listened to my concerns and frustrations with not only my pulmonary condition but by my loss of energy. After extensive blood tests, he found the underlining condition causing many of my problems. With the use of long-term antibiotics, I stopped coughing daily and experiencing bronchitis and/or pneumonia several times annually. Today I can say my pulmonary issues are gone. Over a period of approximately 10 years and the continued use of antibiotics, this compassionate doctor has set me free of illnesses that kept me from have a full life.

I saw Dr. Wagshul at Lung Center of America in October 2018 for severe, uncontrollable asthma. I drove from Texas to Ohio and back to see him - as my last hope. I’m talking 3 inhalers a day, 5 asthma medications a day, multiple hospitalizations, emergency room visits and biweekly pulmonologist appointments on up to 60 mg of prednisone a day severe - asthma. By May 2019 I was off of ALL asthma meds. I have not had asthma since a slight episode in February 2019. I am just like the asthma never happened. I have my life completely back. I thank God daily for dr. Fred Wagshul and the staff at Lung center of America. GO SEE HIM!!!

When I first went to the clinic, Dr. Wagshul was very thorough, very kind and helpful. As time went on it was not the case. I drove 4 hours one way to his clinic because he helped me so much at first. He would not even spend enough time with me at all over the longhaul! No x-rays, blood work, PFT follow-ups. It became very apparent to me that he did not want to treat me, did not care about my overall health. I went to the Cleveland Cl. The ofc. would not give me my health records for CC.

Drove from Iowa to see Dr Wagshul based on very high recommendations of former patients. I found Dr Wagshul to be very knowledgeable and he took time to explain treatment options to me. I had been misdiagnosed by a previous pulmonologist and given incorrect treatment. Dr Wagshul is truly a pioneer and his staff was great. Highly recommend!

Dr. Wagshul agreed to become the POR for my BWC case back in June of this year. I just found out at a recent appointment that he didn't even have the MSDS sheet for the chemical I was exposed to on file and had been treating me for a month without knowledge of what I was actually exposed to. Once he actually went over the MSDS sheet with me in his office he realized he was in over his head and now the office won't return a phone call and has yet to refer me to another doctor. Horrible experience

I would definitely NOT recommend Dr Wagshul to anyone. He diagnosed my Dad incorrectly for months. He said he had pneumonia when he actually had lung cancer. He deprived my Dad of months of proper treatment, instead prescribing him useless antibiotics when he should have been referred to an oncologist for cancer treatment. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS DR.
