Dr. Frederick Blair, MD

After getting an iud, I felt a continuous poking sensation. I scheduled a follow-up appointment. My exam was rushed. He smirked and made light of my discomfort. He could not find anything wrong after another exam and suggested removing the iud. A few days later, a long string from the iud worked its way out. I brought it to his attention and he refused to comment. I’ve had male doctors without any issues but Dr. Blair was the worst. Smart but disconnected and ignores patient concerns. I had another issue but too humiliated to discuss details in a public forum.

I waited a month to see this physician. He was not very through and dismissed what other specialists had documented in their referral. I am not pleased and will be seeking care elsewhere.

I've been seeing Dr. Blair for a few years now. He's a fantastic doctor with a good bedside manner. He explains procedures to you in a way you can understand. I've never waited for more than a couple of minutes over my appointment time, nor have I ever felt rushed. I trust Dr. Blair's decisions regarding my health care. His staff is wonderful. Never a bad experience with this doctor.

Doesn't believe patients, I had unpleasant experiences with De. Blair on two occasions - first when I explained to him that my IUD strings felt longer than usual. This was while standing up. When he examined me, while laying down, he belittled me and laughed at me, saying my strings were not visible and that I must have been feeing a fold in my vagina's skin. Absolutely humiliating. Come to find out, when I lay down, my string pull up into my body, making them invisible. When I stand, they poke back down through my cervix and are tangible. The second occasion was more recent. I have been having recurring yeast infections for about five months now, and have been very diligent about finding them early on. I was seen by Blair, at which point he once again laughed my concerns off and made me feel foolish for being so distraught. He just doesn't have a very good bedside manner, especially in the field he's in. I do not recommend being seen by this doctor to anybody.
