Dr. Frederick Nachtwey, MD

I saw Dr. Nachtwey and he seemed knowledgeable and interested. He ordered a sleep study. Three months later - nothing. I call asking the status and I don’t get a reply. I’m not in Walnut Creek office but Berkeley, which apparently is a satellite office. I was given the Walnut Creek phone number because no one in Berkeley could answer my questions. When I called I was told they shouldn’t be talking to me. Also it seems to be against policy to call back any staff directly. The operator will email them instead. So maybe someone reads their emails carefully and others don’t. When I started to tell her the problem she announced she was hanging up on me. Dr. Nachtwey may be a good doctor but there’s clearly a front office issue.

Excellent. Dr. Nachtwey is a highly-qualified and practical doctor. I appreciate the wonderful bedside manner - he is patient and takes the time to discuss and explain things. I can unhesitatingly recommend Dr. Nachtwey.

Dr. Nachtwey has been my pulmonologist for about 6yrs now, and he has done everything he could to assist me with my lung issues. I'm so grateful that I met him. He's been one of the MOST PATIENT doctors I've ever had. He talks respectfully to you, asks for your input, he listens, he's gentle, and he's just overall a kind and great guy. His office staff is SUPER NICE as well; I don't know everyone but Jackie and Sara have been so good to me. Alex is so sweet and friendly also. Thanks to you all!

After I took a sleep test - I waited 50 minutes before he arrived to review it. He walked in barehanded and had to use my pages of results to discuss something he apparently had not previously reviewed, at least recently. The immediate issue he focused on was that I should have a CPAP machine, I snore. I asked them to order the machine on Jan 6 - it is Mar 3 and I still have not received the machine and I have had to make numerous phone calls between his office and the machine provider.
