Highly recommend Dr. Schiffer
I have been seeing Dr. Schiffer for over a year and my overall happiness has improved dramatically. I dealt with childhood trauma and feel like his work has changed my life. His work is deep and takes commitment and vulnerability. The outcomes are absolutely worth the time and investment. Thank you doctor!

PTSD treatment
I saw Dr. Schiffer for several years for treatment of PTSD. He helped me more than any previous therapist. He was easy to talk to and very insightful. He helped me understand past traumas, and to notice how they affect me today. He told me that I mattered, despite what I thought about myself, and encouraged me when I couldn't. He also identified specific health problems caused by trauma, and made really helpful medication changes to treat that.

Can’t recommend Dr. Schiffer more highly.
Dr. Schiffer is someone who has helped me more than there are words and has brought so much clarity to my life with regard to past trauma. I was first introduced by Dr. Schiffer to his theory of Dual Brain Psychology, which in MY own words is one hemisphere of the brain ultimately being less mature than the other (like a child, the other a mature adult) and therefore each hemisphere processing emotions differently. This is just my quick interpretation. Think of it as looking at the world through different lenses, and he has helped us as patients of his, tap into the various ways of doing this. I could go on and on. Do I feel he’s in many ways ‘saved’ my life, so to speak? I do because my life has improved tremendously since I have seen each day through the lens of the mature woman within me. Trust me when I tell you that you won’t be disappointed by meeting with him and it may be one of the best decisions you ever make. If you wish to get BETTER, he’s the BEST.

Dr.Schiffer is a kind, generous and genuinely caring person. I saw him for over a year and not once did I ever feel anything but grateful for his insights and treatment. My only suggestion is to be sure to be active in AA/NA and or other supports for your recovery.

As a patient for 4 years I was surprised to see any negative reviews. Dr. Schiffer has been extremely helpful to me . He has been instrumental in the progress I have made . He understands trauma and has always been there for me without judgement. Perhaps some of the negative reviewers weren’t ready to put the time and effort needed to work in therapy. It is a difficult journey but Dr Schiffer continues to open myself up to understanding the 2 different minds I have and how to become a healthier person. Thank you Dr Schiffer!

Kept a relative sick for a year upping his dosage to addictive medication, he ended up in rehab and completely isolated after DR Schiffer was fine with him. This man is dangerous, do not see him!!!

I met this dr abut treatment for a relatives drug program. He is anidealogue, dogmatic, immersed in his personal theory to the exclusion of other important issues related to drugs. Simplistic, superficial and insensitive. Would never recommend. Total waste of time.

Dr. Schiffer has been helping a family member for over 2 1/2 years. He has been instrumental in listening and advising our family member on how to deal with their challenges and has really helped with ideas on how to navigate everyday life while coping with these challenges. He has also been very receptive to family discussions and has always been there when there was an immediate need. I highly recommend him to help you or your family member.
