Thorough
Dr. Lukban probably saved my life. I will admit, when I first came to the ER I was not a fan as he did not seem convinced anything was wrong, however he decided to be thorough and ordered a few tests.When he came back in he was an entirely different person, and explained to me that my liver was not functioning properly and that my bloodwork records show it hasn't been for years. I told him I kept going to different GP's who said they weren't concerned about it, he said this was probably because they were only seeing the results in isolation and that this looks like a chronic issue, possibly even malignant and he pointed me in the direction of several doctors and told me exactly what I needed to do to seek proper treatment. After years of being dismissed, I finally feel close to diagnosis.Regardless of whether he believed there was an issue or not initially, he didn't let his ego get to him and gamble with a patient's life and I thank him for that.
