Full of himself
He was the hospital doctor after a surgery. First he was rude and condescending, then when I was going to be discharged I was told that it probably wouldn’t be until 5pm. This was at noon on a weekday. As if that wasn’t enough he called the following day and was again rude and condescending when we didn’t answer the phone. He then gave my family a hard time when they didn’t answer when he wanted them. First off, I’m not a child-don’t speak to me as though I am. Second, again I’m an adult, I can take care of what I need to without you getting nasty with me. If I could give a 0 or less I would. If you hate your job that much, you should look for another career.

Concerned
I had a hospital incident happen the first time during a shift change. Then I was supposed to be discharged early but did not get scripts until 6 p.m. The scripts were dated a day earlier. ??? I had a repeat visit following month, asked for blood results, was told infection; not sureabout strain. I had to ask three times to get answer.

Patient discharge
Impossible to get him to talk directly to patient about a concern regarding discharge. Pertinent information was not communicated to patient by physician. Communication is only possible from doctor to nurse to patient so patient does not have a chance to ask a question directly to doctor. Upsetting for patient and a waste of nurses time. A two minute phone call could have resolved issue. Nurses were great at trying to deal with health concerns.

Never
He was the attending physician after my husband's knee replacement. After delaying my husbands discharge he did not have the courtesy to either reach out to my husband (who was still in the hospital) nor I to tell us why he was delaying his discharge. My husband asked for him to speak with him, but to no avail. We live an hour away from the hospital and are seniors (over 80) so a "little" courtesy would have been appreciated. We are still in limbo until tomorrow morning and hope he feels the need to speak with us. I have never met this man and don't think I ever want to. I hope other patients have faired better. Still waiting!!!
