I went to Dr. Oana to have a bridge cut so a tooth could be extracted. I requested nitrous oxide but she said I would be ok. I was not. After surgery I was in terrible pain and she did not respond to my emergency messages. When my face literally’ blew up,” I contacted an emergency dentist. He released 10cc of puss under my jaw. I almost died from the raging infection all because Dr. Oana did not prescribe antibiotics after surgery. The pain from the dry socket and jaw pain continued. I went to an oral surgeon and a pain specialist and had a shot in my jaw. Aside from terrible pain for months, thousands of dollars spent, this could have been avoided if Dr. Oana had practiced a cardinal rule- prescribe an antibiotic. And not responding to emergency messages is tantamount to medical practice.

My experience was AMAZING, I needed an exstraction of an infected tooth and was terrified. Dr.Oana was gentle, reassuring, explained each step and it was all over in five minutes. NO pain! Can’t thank her enough!Shjan Spooner 5-24-2024

Dr. Oana is a very talented oral surgeon. I have seen her several times for my children's wisdom teeth and myself. I have had a wisdom tooth pulled and a molar pulled and am currently in the process of an implant. Dr. Oana has been consistent in her professionalism, and caring with her patients. She explains everything to you prior to the procedure and then narrates what she is doing during the procedure. Dr. Oana and her team are professional and very responsive.

Dr Oana was amazing. Was very nervous when having a wisdom tooth extraction. The doctor was calming, compassionate and caring. She explained everything she was doing as the procedure was happening. Have not had a minutes discomfort since the tooth came out.

The office staff were very efficient and courteous; they called personally to confirm the appointment and explained the new patient forms very clearly. My wisdom tooth extraction was painless, as was the injection. Dr. Oana explained the procedure well, every step of the way, telling me what to expect and what I would feel and hear. I actually laughed when she said she was finished, because she was so quick and thorough. A very good experience indeed.

I am just home from Dr Oana placing an implant. I was terrified but experienced limited discomfort but no pain. She is a magician. She explained each step and answered all questions. Everyone in her office is warm and has a wonderful attitude. I can’t believe I left in great mood.

I was petrified when I went for an extraction and triple bone graft. I was shocked when Dr. Oana told me that she was finished; I had not even realized that she had given me an injection, let alone everything else. Dr. Oana prescribed medication for pain. I didn't need a single pill. Her staff members are all warm and relaxed. In fact, everyone in the waiting room is relaxed having positive experiences with this extraordinary doctor and person.

Dr. Oana needs to improve her needle skills when numbing patients. She had no empathy as I was in pain and starting to have tears fall from my eyes. She told me I was scaring her and to let her know when I was done so we could move on or I could go. Not very professional, I would not go back. I gave a chance even after reading some bad reviews and some good on healthgrades.com. Miguel at the front desk is PHENOMENAL! He answered all my insurance questions and made me feel welcome.

Riverdale needs her so I hope she reads reviews. Must improve her needle skills, most painful ever and doesn’t use surface numbing first. Yanked out tooth and rattled off post op instructions while I was still shocked and dazed, waving tooth in my face for good measure before I was even upright and had stopped seeing stars. Both nurse and surgeon didn’t seem to be monitoring my state from injections or the yank. All more traumatic than necessary.

My husband went to her and also had a great experience ! Now we are heading back for something else I hope to have a similar experience

I highly recommend Dr. Oana. From the moment you enter it's a calm environment. Dr. Oana and Staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. I had a wisdom tooth extraction and it went smoothly. Pleasantly surprised. Definitely make an appointment with her and deal with your oral issues. I would have done this 3 years ago had I known how smoothly it would turn out.

Dr. Oana is awesome she took me a chicken and turned me into a warrior. I needed to have two implants done I was so scared she calmed me down and did the procedure. It was fast and pleasant. She is the Best very understanding and knows her job well, her staff is great as well. She makes you feel like a friend instead of a patient. Dr. Oana is an expert when it comes to dental extractions and implants. She has a wonderful personality, has excellent skills, and does her work quickly and painlessly. I am impressed with how pain free I was a couple of days after an extraction and two implants done in one visit. Friends who I recommended also agree.
