Dr. Gabriela Ortiz-Omphroy, MD

I felt she listened to me and took care of my problems. She explained things well and gave me options of treatment. Her staff is friendly and professional.

My teenage son is having really bad anxiety and doesn’t want to leave the house. I was told by the staff that he needed to see a therapist. So okay he did. His therapist advised that anti anxiety medication would help greatly with the therapy. Made an appointment. Only to be told that Dr. didn’t feel comfortable prescribing meds because he is a minor. Sorry isn’t she a family practitioner? So she said she could refer him to another therapist who could prescribe meds or I could call HMAA to find someone. Thanks for nothing. My son is suffering thanks for all your concern!!!!

Appointment was rushed. Doctor stresses me on office visit. Hard to understand needs. Blood test after blood test. Endless.

For my mom’s scheduled appointment, Dr. Ortiz wasn’t in office (completely understandable). The one-star rating is due to the very unprofessional staff (of the other doctor on duty and receptionists) who have been trying to help in the past week. That doctor started the appointment with jokes about “not knowing” how to work the equipment and said inappropriate comments about weight during the visit. On another occasion, receptionist had zero phone etiquette, gave a ton of attitude, and even yelled on call due to miscommunication between their staff. I hope this office reflects on how they conduct their business for the sake of other patients who want to feel safe and taken care of at their doctor visits. Sorry, we won’t be returning.

Highly unprofessional, and irresponsive, with terrible customer service. Would NOT recommend. Had an online visit, via HMSA online care app, due to covid symptoms. Dr did not show her face on screen saying she had a new computer and “couldn’t figure it out”. Said she’d email me with test results and dr. Note. At the testing center, they said Dr. should post results to Mycharts app. She never emailed dr. Note, or results, or posted results to MyChart. When I emailed asking results she said she sent already, when I double checked I saw all she sent was visit notes. I emailed again multiple times with no response. I cannot return to work without a negative test result, and Dr. note, nor should I for the safety of my clients and coworkers. Then when I called her office the receptionist was extremely rude when I explained I had called multiple times with no answer.

very personable and knowledgeable. I didn't feel rushed during my visit. I felt she explained everything pertinent to my problem. I highly recommend her. I'm glad I chose her as my PCP.

Dr. Ortiz-Omphroy is our family doctor. We are very satisfied with her care. She listens to our concerns and is thorough in her exam and evaluations. She is compassionate and caring. We highly recommend her to our family and friends.
