Was just trying to end the appt as soon as she can. One foot out the door towards the end, literally. Finding someone else to be my PCP

Superficially “nice”. Doesn’t really listen to what is bothering the patient. Makes her assumptions. Needed to repeat my symptoms several times before she acknowledged them.

Caring, attentive doctor
I was looking for a new Primary Care Provider and Dr Rodríguez was the perfect one for me. She was so caring, attentive, thoroughly asking about my health history and gave me very good advice. She was also very nice and down to earth.

Outstanding physician
Dr. Rodriguez-Caprio is an outstanding physician: thoughtful, smart, kind, diligent, and truly cares about your health and well-being. She spends the time with you when you feel you needed, and when she feels you need some extra time in the visit to address all issues of preventing disease, things so rare these days with the corporate pressure to treat healthcare like a factory and patients like commodities. I can’t recommend her too highly.

Find someone else
Like others here, I found Dr. Caprio to be dismissive of my concerns and very self-absorbed. She spent much time talking about her vacation and ultimately told me my pain was due to anxiety (it is not). Avoid this DR.

Not Interested in Me
She talked about herself way too much. She's an alarmist and does not have the best bedside manner. After so many years with a fantastic doctor, Lucy Painter, she was a total disappointment. When I go to a doctor the primary focus should be me but Dr. Caprio talked too much about herself and did not address my concerns. Actually she made me feel old, fat and near death.

I am a relatively new patient of Dr. Rodriguez-Caprio and I'm happy so far. She seems very thorough and takes plenty of time to understand your concerns. She is compassionate (asking me to check in with her in a few months after learning of the death of my mother). Would recommend.

Only went to Dr. Rodriguez-Caprio because my wonderful PCP of 25 years, Dr. Lucy N. Painter, retired. Dr. R-C was one of 2 doctors taking over Dr. Painter's practice. Had 2 visits with her, uncomfortable after 1st but wanted to give her a chance. As a new patient, she wasn't too interested in my history & jumped to incorrect conclusions about important items. For the best possible care a patient must be 100% honest with their doctors, as I always am. Patients want honesty too, &support, encouragement, sensitivity, compassion. I'd just joined AA, excited to tell her, &told her my sobriety date. She looked at me askance &said "You can't say that at this time," like I could relapse any time. I didn't & won't. At 71 I will live the rest of my life sober. She claimed substance abuse &recovery were her specialties. At home I researched her: it wasn't true: I was shocked to see her specialty is infectious diseases! This was just before Covid shutdown, but Dr.R-C didn't say a word about it.
